Guesstimations of future, to be reality based, are probabilistic, with limitations increasing with time. BUT we know enough. There are certainties...no other biosphere can be located, no life can travel to another biosphere, no life could survive in another biosphere~~~~machine age ends forever when last of recoverable coal used, poisons mined and made take up to a geological age to be absorbed below biosphere, humans cannot cooperate globally in time, and it is impossible to guesstimate meaningfully about our potential to survive the Anthropocene. Yet. Too bad the already available necessary knowledge, the generalist whole, cannot be provided to enough people in time. Scavenger, forager or gatherer, fisher hunters with cooperative AND competitive genetics evolved for mirror neurons over small groups ONLY, extended families, tribes....this complexity is beyond us, and the leaders will always be mostly infantile/literal, untethered and speculative adolescent, and/or narcissistically solipsistic. Maturated adults, contextually scientific, Piaget's operational, across the spectrum are almost as rare as hen's teeth. Pardon the archaism. Learning how to learn means UNlearning...the process of assessing, re-correlating theory and data, is a process, that should continue while our minds continue. PLAYed sports...as a child, I thought as a child. And then I grew up. Age ten, app. so, my suggestion, learn how to learn, to unlearn, study everything, admit reality to self and others, emphasize cooperation over competition. I married a woman who found god and started acting exactly like some of these people. I had to leave the relationship after 6 years. My sons went unvaccinated and were home schooled. Tho they are very decent adults, they are both socially awkward and lacking intellectually. And they have turned away from religion like it's the plague. Mothers like these ruin their kids.
