Great Review! BTW, for anyone who also an Olight Baton 4 or the 16340 batteries it uses, those ALSO work in the Baton Turbo when using that CR123 Sleeve!

I'll probably get this. But I wish more people knew about and would ask Olight to bring back the S1A Baton. It ran on a standard rechargeable 14500 cell AND it could also use a single AA battery. I'm other words it's a perfect EDC Light. It fits in the pocket well, it's plenty bright with 600 lumens with the 14500 (220 lumens with AA battery). And both battery type are easy enough to find. And you can get AA's at almost any store or gas station.
@MPD90Ай бұрын
Better options out there to fit your need I think. Reylight is another that's stormed the scene as great EDC lights. The LANapple takes an AA battery or 14500, excellent emitter (better than anything Olight use), premium build/materials, and at a reasonable price.

They have the i5r. Depending on what you need to light up it's plenty bright. Runs on a USB-C rechargeable battery (or a regular AA)

Exactly! Lost my S2A baton and wish they brought these back. I liked the silicone grip too.

I received my Baton Turbo in OD green yesterday. It's a very nice light, with excellent throw for its small size and great build quality. I really like the battery and brightness meters around the switch. Another reviewer mentioned that it can also accept some standard 18350 batteries, but it can't charge them internally.
@randomescuАй бұрын
How is the spot dimension compared to Javelot Mini? I love that one.
@jascospeedАй бұрын
I can confirm it will run other 18350's.. used a Wuben protected button top 18350 and it worked perfectly. Would never use cr123a, but that option made it possible for other non Olight batteries due to the internal design.

I ordered one just to add to the collection, but WOAH I’m so impressed with it, I really wasn’t expecting it to be this good. The beam on this thing is pretty crazy for how tiny it is

Arkfeld battery is covered by their lifetime warranty if the battery failing is a concern. I didn’t have one and their new material got my attention. Going to give it a try. Sometimes is cheaper to get a backup flashlight with battery included on sale than buying a battery.

I had to order a arkfeld ultra with the arkfeld pet edition then went ahead and ordered one of these too. I should’ve skipped your other video earlier lol. These look like great lights and I’ve been needing some new edc lights.

All the reviews all at once being over the moon just means they're sending them out for free. Looks really promising, but it's still magnetic recharging right? I like the USB-C ports on the Wubans, no proprietary cable to worry about.

@@jamble7k tiny lights are the most useful because they are more likely to actually be on your person when you need it. ,lI have that tiny right angle wuban attached to my backpacks shoulder strap right now traveling a country for 2 weeks, and it was indispensable two or three times. Combined with the ability to charge other devices from the lights USB-C port, I might even be willing to carry one with a big honking battery in it to supplements or even replace the power bank that always travels with me

does the baton turbo run on all levels with the cr-123a batteries ?
@bansheerider619Ай бұрын
Wth the CR123A battery you don't get full performance and runtime. The power output is reduced due to the lower voltage output 3v. It would be nice if Olight developed an external charger so we can buy more Olight 3.6v batteries and charge them at the same time rather than only charging them in the flashlight.
@raddy8898Ай бұрын
Olight pushes hard to get you to give them your email and download their app. And more than half is their proprietary batteries and chargers.

They need to make a Warrior mini with that turbo head. Then add the ability to use two CR123a's and that will sell like hotcakes. That might make up for the terrible warrior micro. Which has less lumens and candela than the baton 3. Which makes no since.
@GT-tj1qgАй бұрын

The lack of USB C on these Olights is an automatic no from me. Absolutely no company should be selling products with a mandatory proprietary charger now a-days.
@MPD90Ай бұрын
A few newer models take USB-C cables for what it's worth. Seeker 4 and Warrior X4 both have USB-C ports.
@victorhoyt4352Ай бұрын
Thank you!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Tbh, most of these lights are extremely overpriced for what they are. They advertise things like 1300 lumens, but you only get 1300 lumens for 1 minute, then it drops down to 600, which runs for another 2 minutes or so. Then it drops down to 300 lumens, which is where it stay for about 2 more hours until it dies. So, you've basically got a 300 lumen flashlight. I've found so many better alternatives for under $25. Then, the proprietary charger is a whole other issue. Now, I've got to have a special charger with me at all times just to charge the dang thing.
@MPD90Ай бұрын
@@victorhoyt4352 To be fair, Olight are incredibly clear with their run times, outputs and step-downs etc. It's all very detailed and laid out clearly, and in my experience it's accurate too. They are I believe the best of the mainstream companies at this. Don't hold that against them by comparing with companies who are less transparent about step-downs and therefore falsely appear to have better performance. EVERY torch steps down, it's heat management, it's just a lot of companies obscure it.
