I tried this. I washed the lentils first. And tried to dry it a bit. But overall roasting took a long time, cause the lentils were wet😂 I made this in the early hours. 1am to be specific. So i couldn’t fully grind the lentils to a fine powder. (Didn’t want my grinder to wake my neighbors!) So It still had a tiny bit of coarse bits. And then I did exactly as shown in the video. It tasted great! I won’t say it’s better than it as good as fresly cooked dhal, but it was so good! Thank you very much for the recipe!

If you don't grind to powder then you can't cook it in 5 minutes as mentioned in video. You can definitely make it with grains if your purpose is not the travel mix
