Anishajs I use the little eyelid shapers to even up my eyes, do you know the ones that I mean? The ones that East Asian women wear to give you an eyelid? I use one on the droopy lid and it works!

@1a141036 3 жыл бұрын
Claredy J but doesn’t work with eyeshadow tho. 😔 shadow won’t stick on top of the tape and the tape won’t stick on a lid with eyeshadow. It works if you’re just doing liner and mascara!

@claredyj2015
@claredyj2015 3 жыл бұрын
1a141036 put the little shaper on a dry eyelid, make sure its dry! Then tap very lightly a little bit of foundation on top and let dry. Then put ur eye shadow on top but pat it on very lightly on top, no swiping on, very light pats! Build up how much you need (i use powder, not cream). This works for me, just remember light patting! Hope this helps xx

Thanks again Wayne!! I was always told that I couldn't wear blues and greens in eyeshadow because I have blue eyes, but there are so many different shades that I CAN and DO wear now because I've found colors that work. Not that there's anything wrong with neutrals, but I was so tired of always having to wear them to fit my eye color, and was a bit bored with my makeup, and was under the impression that I couldn't wear color because it wasn't flattering. Now I know that makeup is supposed to be FUN and who cares what colors you wear, and that's brought me enormous freedom and sparked a ton of creativity in makeup! I love this technique, and will definitely be trying it!

I have purple like streaks through my kids and a prominent red lower lash line. I use a white eye primer to even the field. No matter what look. If it's simple, I put my foundation powder over the primer, liner, mascara, done. A more drastic look with actual shadows turns out amazing since it's being put on a white base. Maybe even a tiny drop of a color corrector would help🤷.. I just use white though🤣.. I'm also pretty brown. Like, not dark, but I wouldn't call my skin tone medium.🤣

I have the hardest time with making my undereye look like anything. I have hooded, semi deepset eyes that turn down. I end up looking like a hollow eyed demon, of course if I try to use an eye kohl and bottom mascara I look like a goth parody. BUT, like Wayne I absolutely LOVE how a black or brown eye kohl looks on an eye. I just wish my eye shape and my skill level didn't literally go to war on my damn eyeball every single time.

I have the same as you and I’ve adapted the following: - never take my eyeliner right into the corner because I’m emphasizing the “droop” - I’ve done similar to Wayne here but I’ve never been a big fan of using the tissue to wing it out - if Some of the fall out goes outside toward the area of the droop, I use the foundation brush and any leftover product on it to remove it

Christie Dugal great tips! I have to stay away from eye liner full stop, as my whole eye droops so far down at the edge. I find a small bit of highlighter in the corner is fine.

My asian eyes are hooded due to fold. I’m tired of hearing the word “crease”. I don’t have a crease! I wish tutorials would explain application to the “socket” instead when referring to hooded eyes due to a fold (not due to brow bone /deep set). Sigh

Bruin Fan I also have either open eyes or folded eyes, which I then have to shade over the top of the fold basically. Anything under the fold (in the ‘crease’j is pointless as it’s not seen. 🤷🏻‍♀️
@dark_baphomet
@dark_baphomet 3 жыл бұрын
I think he just calls it the ‘crease’ for when you’re following other makeup tutorials so you don’t actually go in your crease, because then no one would see anything until you blink, so using it as like common jargon rather than what it actually is so people can understand it better, I think. If I put anything in my actual crease it’s gone forever 😂😂😂
@midlifemom5829

Lucy Lang , i get it but if we’re gonna celebrate diversity in age and ethnicity , “crease” location is not the same for every woman. I think the term is overused to death.
