I’ve found the key to be keeping my eyes hydrated. I mix my eye cream with black castor oil. Granted you don’t want to do this if you’re doing makeup soon after skincare. I do this morning and night on the days I don’t wear makeup and just at night on the days I do. Over time this has helped the skin not be nearly as crepey and has plumped up my lines. My concealer looks much better now!

I’m wondering about putting the wand back into the container after it’s been dipped in powder? Eventually more and more powder will end up in the container.. compromising the composition of the concealer. So those who are going to try this..don’t double dip. Wash the wand off before putting it back in the tube.
@hodgeelmwood8677Ай бұрын
I would probably put a little powder in a tiny dish or something instead of putting the concealer directly into the powder container, but washing the concealer wand after makes sense too.

I just use a small amount of concealer and focus it on the inside of the undereye with just a little on the outside edges, use a little bit of powder, a little hydrating spray to finish up and I never get creasing. Works every time. No weird techniques necessary!
@myfairyqueen8520Ай бұрын
And its also up to the concealer. I was impressed when I found a good one for me.
@karinmodl3000Ай бұрын
I do it the same way, but the hydrating spray is a very good idea 👍
@-EricaCartmanАй бұрын
But what if what the discoloration needing covered up is almost only located on the outside edges instead of inside? It is more likely to crease when concealer and/or color corrector is focused there instead of on the inside. Consider yourself fortunate!
@KG9551Ай бұрын
@@-EricaCartman very true! I do have some discoloration there but not too much... Maybe the choice of product would be more important if that’s the trouble area. I like to use potted concealers, I find that way I can use a minimal amount, it covers more, and moves with my lines instead of getting stuck in them. The more liquid they are, the more I have to use and the more it creases. Have you tried anything like the Becca color corrector in the pot or the potted Nars creamy concealer?

It looked great, but I'm wondering whether it'll just make the crepey creases under my eyes look more obvious - when I include powder in that area, that's what tends to happen. Personally, I'm happier concealing without the extra use of powder, but I think this'd be great for people who don't have the same issue as me. Thanks for sharing, Wayne.

@cjtzioumis686Ай бұрын
I believe a huge issue is the definition of "creasing", is your concealer itself separating, or is it settling into lines and folds already there, make up can't hide underlying texture on moving skin. I feel this hack is more for younger eyes, I suspect it will look aging on lined, crepey older skin.
