@@Az0rau Yep, very easy mistake to make if you're driving somewhere unfamiliar and 2 sets of lights are so close together. I've done this many times when driving new routes. You usually realise once you've started driving through the intersection that your A-pillars or sun visor was blocking the red lights, but by then it's too late, and all you can do is keep driving. Every driver has done this at least once in their life. The ones that claim they haven't, just didn't realise it at the time. No-one's perfect.

I agree to a point, there are certainly instances when a ticket is due. But equally we don't know what type of a day someone has had that may have their mind elsewhere. Maybe their spouse just left them, maybe they are on the way back from the doctor who just told them they are terminally ill etc. I'm just saying that in my experience the vast majority of those types of driving are not malicious.

I took my learner driver to Emergency Services Driver Training at Willowbank, and much joy was had emulating DCOA reactions every time it was someone's turn to be pulled over. I may be a bad influence, but he drew the line at doing the "I'm not driving, I'm travelling" script when it was his turn to be pulled over. LOL How i laughed at the moron on the bike too busy being an idiot to notice the cop car, then his mate ditches him. Gold.

The worst that can happen from reckless driving is someone dying, but the most common thing is injured, cant work or support your family, car repair bill, insurance to deal with, police reporting and due process to deal with, fines to pay and trauma if you were the victim doing everything right but still got mangled or the humiliation of knowing you put burden on people and have to admit to yourself you're a bad person. Nobody's sympathetic for you

As a motorcyclist I am disgusted by the behaviour of that cop brake checking and swerving in front of the bikers like that, could have become very dangerous for the bikers, yes they were speeding but certainly no need to pull across on them and brake check them in such an aggressive manner!, Some stupid behaviour on the cop's part!

hey Folks in Aussieland, which one is the driving lane on the Highway Motoway ( whatever you call it ) and which one is the passing lane ? i assume the driving lane is the left one, since you guys drive on the left, am i right ?

On roads above 80 km/h, the very right lane is for passing, and every other lane left of it is fair game. Same if there's a keep left unless overtaking sign. But legislatively, "keep left" means stay out of the right lane.

I see cops breaking the road laws every time I am behind 1. It's amazing how often they speed & do not use a blinker to change lanes or in a roundabout. The laws of physics do not apply to a cop talking on a phone while driving because physics knows its for official police duties.

Not right lane hogs if there is no law requiring them to move left. The speed limit on this stretch of road (Eenie Creek Rd, Noosaville) is 80km/h and there does not appear to be a Keep Left Unless Overtaking sign, so they can drive all day in any lane.

those BMW M340i are VERY fast, they are all wheel drive have similar power from factory to HSV's etc, not sure if they put a tune in or anything for cop cars but theres not much on the road outrunning those

In SA, the primary car used to be the new Holden Commodore with a tuned V8 engine. Insanely fast and mainly pursuit vehicles. They also had Colorado's which were utilised as people movers because they shit bearings at high speed. Now they have the Kia Sorento but are changing them out for VW because the Kia was too unreliable

Brings me a good memory while I was a Teenager and I was with my younger sister and our Dad was driving as we're travelling from Brisbane to Parkes to visit our Grandparents. On the way after lunch, we were cut off by a vehicle which was speeding and nearly caused my Dad to have an accident but after an hour driving and continuing our journey, we passed the same car that cut my Dad off and it was pulled over by the Police. My Dad was laughing all the rest of the journey.

I do as much driving as I used to, but every day I come across more and more entitled drivers, who shouldn’t have a licence. I recently was crossing at pedestrian crossing, I was half way across when an idiot in a dual cab Ute nearly hit me! His vehicle now as several large dints in the side of it, and he has a severely bruised jaw, yeah, he thought he was in the right, stopped his vehicle, got out and tried to assault me 😂 now I’m 6foot, 100kg’s, he was maybe 5’7, 65kgs, and threw a punch at me, my first reaction was to laugh, 10 seconds later his passenger had to get in the drivers seat to move the Ute out of the way, Fafo, I am sick of this entitlement , the amount of people who think road rules don’t apply to them is staggering,but honestly, dual cab Ute drivers are the worst.
