The other day I saw someone almost collide with another car when changing lanes without checking or indicating (turn signals are generally known as "indicators" in Australia i.e. "indicating an intent to turn or merge"), then swerved back into their lane when the other vehicle gave them a blast, floored it, cut in front of the other car, and finally remembered to hit the indicator when he was already mostly into the lane. A fine display of screwing up a very simple maneuver by performing all of the required steps in reverse order. Amazing.

Haha thanks for confirming what I thought! I have no Chinese (or Asian) background but learned Mandarin at school (as we traveled to China for 5 weeks) and I ended up enjoying the language and can speak it fairly well now. I had a friend in my class from Hong Kong who spoke Cantonese whenever we were at his house as his parents couldn't speak English well. As all young immature kids do, I pressed him on the worst curse/swear words in Cantonese, and I forgot most, but pok gai has stuck with me without ever slightly forgetting it. His translation of it was almost identical to what you said "Meaning you're worth nothing and should die on the street" . I have used it many times as a joke but thats the first time I have heard a Chinese person use the word. Absolutely hilarious!

Sometimes if you're speeding and coming up on a cop doing radar and you slow down when you spot them (especially if you spot them early), they probably already got you on the radar but may not bother because they see that while you were speeding, at least you're being observant. Driver might have been speeding further back. Note that the cop car knew exactly when to pull out onto the road. There might have been a cop car/camera further back.
