What does it depend on if a jockey ride to a cliff ends up in the survivor clinging to the side? In almost of these when you ride a survivor and drop them they fall with you, but when i do the same, they get stuck near the cliff and i drop down

The game registers the survivor's fall as from a low height, after which the Jockey changes the trajectory, pulling survivor further downward.

I once managed to down the entire team with only one life playing Smoker. So i basically was playing on versus on the first chapter of Dead Center, the survivors reached a part where they would reach the second floor, I was playing as a Smoker down there, first floor besides them and no one noticed me. I pulled Coach first and my teammates would help me, But there was no charger either ways we would have won already, They shot me a few times but i still survived since i hided on a corner, Then i came out and started pulling them 1 by 1 cause they were stuck trying to save their teammates while my infecteds attack. Then they lost cause no one decided to advance through the map.
