Mawa Modak Recipe with @madhurasrecipemarathi |मोदक रेसिपी आसान झटपट| Ganesh Chaturthi Special Modak
Mawa modak with stuffing Ingredients
Mawa 400 gms
Sugar pwd ½ cup
Kesar 9-10 strands
Milk 2 tbsp
Almonds 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts 1 tbsp
Gulkand 1 tbsp
Pista chopped 2 tbsp
Charoli chopped 1 tbsp
Chop all the dry fruits and transfer it to a bowl.
Add chopped charoli, chopped pista, chopped almonds, chopped cashew, chopped pista, gulkand and mix it. Keep it aside.
In a bowl, add milk and kesar, mix them.
Heat a pan, add grated khoya and cook for 5 mins on medium-low flame.
Later add milk & kesar mixture and mix it.
Remove it on a plate, add powdered sugar and mix it till it get combined well.
Allow the khoya mixture to cool.
Take some portion of the khoya mixture, make some space in the centre by using thumb. Add some dry fruits mixture and seal the khoya mixture.
Roll it to a round first and then shape them to a tear shape.
To give a pleated texture, use back of the spoon as shown in the video.
Another way to shape a modak is take some khoya mixture in the modak mould.
Stuff some dry fruit mixture in it, close the mould and seal it from the bottom by using some khoya mixture.
Unmould it and they are ready to be served.
