Instant Pot Iced Tea

I just put my sugar in the hot water in the instant pot and stir it.

That's what I do. Can the sugar go in with the tea during the cooking time? I usually use the pressure coming to heat the water than after put in all the ingredients let it sit. I have ice I freeze in storage containers and drop one in the water after the ingredients are finished.
