If you use long grain rice then just it the rice button which is for 12 minutes it comes out nice and creamy.

I was wondering if an egg yoke or two could be added to this method/recipe; it's how my Portuguese mother use to make it🙂 or will the egg yoke have to be added after as not to separate? Curious if making smaller or single portion could you place a smaller container inside versus using the pot directly?

I have never tried cooking it in a smaller container inside the Instant Pot. You could try simply halving the ingredients and making less.

There are many variations and different instructions to most recipes. I share the recipe the way I make it, have tested it multiple time and gotten wonderful results. Hope that helps.
