I hear your point and I really hope you’re right, my worry is the lack of separation. Because guys like Adams and Keenan Allen aren’t fast, but they are great route runners, this is not the case here, so it’s a question of, will he be able to get open at the next level and if not will he be successful making contested catches against the NFL defences. N’keal Harry I think is fresh in everyone’s mind because he wasn’t fast or a great route technician and the saving grace was, “he’s great at contested catches”. That doesn’t always translate to the pros. So I hope he’s a good pick, he seems a solid character player to have, but I must confess, I wish we’d gone Ladd at 34th. Still, he hasn’t played a down, be very happy to have him prove to be a baller.

@@johnboy1760 that’s a fair assessment and one that is open. I hope he pans out too. Thing is Polk isnt just a contested catch guy and I think he can easily come in and be wr 2 alongside Kendrick. Not saying he is a number 1 but cld be a solid number 2. We draft a decent TE like Sanders and now we have a decent nucleus that is just missing a number 1 to take them over the top. Another thing that gives me optimism is we have a coach that worked with him and Macmillan at Washington so I think he has a pretty good grasp on what wld make him tick and can get the best out of him. I heard Ladd ddnt really fit their mold of the wr they were looking for. Folks gotta learn to let the Nkeal Harry pick go. Was a horrid inexcusable pick. But it’s over and done with. Let’s give this guy a chance. I heard this guy was a more athletic Jakobi Meyers

Cooper Kupp ran a 4.62 and look where he got! Great hands are much better than pure speed for the position. Need I mention Puka Nakua, and his 4.57 40 speed. Then in the same division, you have North Andover MA local boy, next to my hometown and same high school alum, Jake Bobo out of UCLA with a ridiculous 4.99 40 yet makes the Seahawks roster last year as an UDFA and caught for nearly 200 yds. impressing everyone on the team, especially DK Metcalf, with his detail and steel hands.

Idk who on earth thought that Devante Adams was a bust. His rookie year he was behind Nelson and Cobb so he didnt get as much attention. Thats not the same as being a bust.

I’m trying to like this, but the potential of AD Mitchell being a #1 is hard for me to ignore. We had Jakobi Meyers who had a good season before he left and it did nothing for our offense. This feels like a pick we always make.

Meyers definitely was missed, you could tell the difference when he was gone at least to me. I understand the AD thing, I felt the same way but if everyone passed up on him almost twice there’s gotta be real problems that we don’t need with a rookie qb. Plus Polk looks legitimately solid
