Instant Zombie or Diva Zombie Which Deck is Better? - Edison Format Yugioh

I know I'm biased but I really disagree with you on this one. Here's a few thoughts I have on everything. - The main point of instant fusion is not to act like cyber dragon, that's just one of the benefits. The main thing is to fuel your grave with reaper on the nightmare to open up BOLs. The only time you ever make anything but reaper is on very rare and specific occasions. If it trades with bottomless you're more than happy with that because it's noncommittal. If you tribute for caius into a monster and it trades with backrow you're fine with that because you go 2 for 2 and it sets up your grave for followup plays. It's all about creating better flow for the deck to function. In my opinion Diva loses to oppression harder than the E Tele package. You can always normal summoning krebons or commander and get value from their effects. When e tele is activated and your opp oppressions it you lose e tele. (Good players will oppression the e tele because you can always tribute for caius) When they oppression the eff of Diva you lose your normal summon. If they oppression the synchro you potentially lose even more. I don't think any of the top versions of zombies is bad but I tested the hero build and my issues with it is it feels not quite diva hero with one miracle and not fully zombies with 1 BOL so you're in this middle-ground where it'd be better just to commit to one. It reminds me of when Vayu and Blackwings had the hybrid version and some people thought it would become the new meta but realized pure of either is just stronger and more consistent. - The instant zombie build in reference was just the first version of instant zombies. This was the first time testing out the concept and the version I'm using now is much different and does significantly better vs it's worse matchups like Blackwings and Diva Hero Beat. No hate but think in a year or so we will see the instant zombie build as the new standard (unless something new comes around) but again, I'm very biased lol.

You make fair points, ultimately the best zombie deck has to find away to not lose to royal oppression and neither instant zombie, diva zombie or hero zombie accomplish that. Zombies will always be held in check because people will just main double oppression again. For a time it was going to one and some blackwing decks were cutting it altogether. The deck/card that seems to solve the oppression problem is ultimate offering which needs to be explored and or played more imo. Instant fusion has been seen in zombies over the past year (one or two here or there) and has made its way into many zombie decks in Ocg back in 2009/2010. I agree there’s a good chance it’s around next year aswell.

Instant zombie is better. Gives it a higher ceiling imo. Makes book of life better

There's a similar deck I've been cooking but it's an E Tele Instant Zombie Diva deck. A good chunk of the deck is starters and a good chunk of the deck is piece 2 combo extenders. Also because of Tele and Diva, as well as other similar on board recruiters, you can safely run more than the standard 40-41 cards without worrying about a drastic consistency drop. What is you thoughts on Ryko variants? Grants mills for zombie setups and helps get rid of pesky cards like royal oppresion. Get access to chaos sorc and With diva you also get access to collosal OTK.

I love zombies. Ive worked out a hero build with 2 miracle 2 bol. Its got alot of come back plays.

pretty much agree with all you said. i think instant zombies is the weakest of the three, and just a flavour of the month kind of deal. in my experience the deck is forced to over commit too much, while still sharing some of the recruiter issues of the "slow" version (even the versions you showed actually ran the same amount of recruiters). and overall the deck is just a little easier to dismantle, if key pieces get interrupted. my personal version of zombies is ryko hamster zombies, which topped a few times in 2022. what's your opinion on that build? obviously the ryko hamster caius package has done very well across a bunch of different decks, and is just nice at general problem solving. you do want to cut down on recruiters though, since ryko ofc shares some issues with them. in the end that deck plays a bit more like a good-stuff deck that also has access to goblin / mezuki / plague shenanigans. opens up the option of chaos s though

Have been considering the hamster/ryko package. It becomes more graveyard reliant for your normal summons are limited because of the package so you probably need more book of life to make combo plays. It has potential

From my experience the deck can comfortably run 2 BoL. 3 gets iffy sometimes, since the zombie count is not super duper high (8 + foolish + sangan), and ryko ofc is busy milling your heavy storms and stuff @@beastmode123

any thoughts on zombie well? its for sure true that diva play is more explosive and provides alot of tempo similarly a power well improves grind and explosiveness in the mid to late stages of the game

I think we’ll zombie is extremely explosive but comes at the cost of running more bricks (power well) I think hero zombie just dies the same things but better and is more consistent

@@beastmode123 idk. Krebons can stall for days. Having 3 gives instant fusion and dark grepher value
