Hi Jeff. After I watched this video, I decided to give one a try. I have been shooting an Olympic bow with Uukha limbs for target and a Samic Sage for hunting. I shot it for the first time today and it is everything you said it was and more. This thing shoots better than anything I have ever shot before. My first round was the smallest I have ever shot at 20 yards. I shot a target arrow with a sharp point right through the middle of one of the fletches of the arrow I shot right before ( Luckily it missed the nock and the shaft ). Maybe I was just lucky but this is the most comfortable bow I have ever held in my hand. I don’t even have a desire to shoot any of my other bows anymore. They might even be up for sale pretty soon. I would have to have a serious upgrade on the riser of my Olympic bow to come anywhere close to this thing. Thank you for sharing this bow with me.

Well, at this point it looks like we will need to settle for the limbs for 275 from Ali Express. I like what you said about carbon foam and the weather so I am getting these limbs even at less of a great deal to go on my 19" Tbow (aluminum riser, not sure about the threads).

Jeff, thank you for what you do. In the last few months myself, daughter, and my wife are starting to get into archery and you had a lot to do with that. Please do me a favor and ask this company to make left-handed risers. I know left handers are only 10% of the population, but three out of five in my family are left-handed. I bought my wife, a Sanlida recurve, but myself, my daughter, and my son are all left-handed. I really like this company and would like to have a number of their products.

Thanks for this information. Because of your review I bought one. I have had mine for about a week and a half and I love it. I did put a magnetic rest and cushion button and it's amazing. I bought the 40# and has a much smoother draw than my 30# 68" ILF with a bamboo core. Also the grip wrap is spot on. Thanks for your time.

Jeff thank you for your video’s. I’m completely new to archery, but i was really searching for a new hobby (something for myself, to totally destress after a crazy work week) just ordered this as my first bow. Can’t wait to get it and start practicing. In the netherlands we are not allowed to hunt with a bow, but in belgium it’s legalized (2 hours drive), so i’m aiming for that in the future Big thanks and hello from holland 🫶🏻✌🏻👌🏻

Excellent looking bow. Being a big fan of a low wrist grip, this is the only ilf hunting riser I have seen thus far that comes with one as standard. Thanks for sharing this Jeff. The only thing I wonder is why not put the kit out with mediums at 62". I just think it would have more appeal. I'm 27.5 draw and shoot shorts but I think most guys pulling 27--29 are afraid to go down to shorts no matter how smooth it is. Jeff, if Sanlida is looking for feedback that is mine. Mediums at 62" are just more appealing to more shooters. Not trying to take away anything from the review and your comments. always a pleasure to see your slinging arrows.

Hi Jeff, I’m located in New Market and a big fan of your channel. I guess I’ll be the second to have a Hermit X10, I ordered mine last week. After you did the excellent reviews on Sanlida one piece recurve and long bow I started looking on Sanlida’s web site. I was seriously looking for an ILF rig, specifically the Win Win Black Wolf, but didn’t want to spend that much for my first trad bow. It’s amazing you did a review on the my new bow, keep up the excellent channel. Thanks again and may God Bless!

Jeff, I've been waiting months for this video. I have something very similar to that. But I got my advice from a Kiwi down under. That's right, he can shoot year round & I'm in the upper Midwest. But I have a set of 55% carbon limbs & I recently got a riser to match it that's a T-6061 aircraft aluminum with the same grip u described. Not tacky but it has some feel. It doesn't get hot or cold either. It's an incredible feeling & it's also a low-wrist grip. The limbs I have r developed after the old Uuhkka limbs from Europe. No twisting, no torsional twist @ the shot. There isn't like a letoff but it allows me to get a smoother release @ 52 lbs cuz I'm still pulling back as I release. Is 3 Rivers offering this. I haven't seen anything from Lancaster yet that suggests they have plans to offer it. But I would buy it to just compare it to what I have. I'm guessing with my draw that I'm looking @ a 64 to 66 inch setup. The 68" I have now is phenomenal. Thanks again, waiting months for this video. 😂❤🎉.

Thx Jeff! I received my Hermit a couple weeks ago! Love it! What’s a good arrow setup for 27inch draw, 45# limbs? Thx for all you do!
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89982 ай бұрын
Awesome! You’ll want a 500 spine cut about 28.5” that’ll allow you to run some 50 or 100 grain inserts and pretty much whatever point weight you want and as long as the total arrow weight is above 10 grains per pound of draw weight you’ll be fine for hunting and good penetration 👍🏻

Jeff, I tried practicing traditional archery years ago but I always gave it a break once deer seasons arrive and I resort back to my compound. After finding your videos in the off-season I now feel proficient to hunt with my black hunter recurve using gap aiming. Thank you for all of your online coaching! I want to give those dark timber arrows a try but I’m unsure which spine/length I should select. I have a 30 inch draw, my recurve is #40, and I’m flinging 250 grains FOC. My current mandarin duck arrow is 500 spine at 30 1/8 (carbon to carbon). Should I go 600 or 500 spine? Keep same arrow length or go longer? Again, thank you for taking the time out of your life to educate all of us!

I have been looking at these ILF bows, probably going to buy one here in a few weeks.. but I’m not sure where I should put the draw weight. I’m used to an 80lbs compound bow.. but I’m not hunting.. strictly target shooting. I was thinking 40-45lbs. I’m a bigger guy.. 6,2” 230lbs. But I want to be able to shoot quickly.

Great vid, does this come centered and ready to go? You often talk about having to tweek things here and there.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89982 ай бұрын
Thank you and as with most machined risers they are not centered, actually cut well past center designed for use of a rest and plunger or some other type of rest so setting them up for shooting off the shelf definitely requires some build up of the strike plate but that’s about it for tweaking and arrow tuning besides setting the tiller bolts how you prefer 👍🏻

Hey, Jeff. Thanks in no small part to your through, positive review, the Sanlida Hermit now sits atop the short list for my next recurve. One question: I'm pretty sure you shot this bow with three fingers under. Did you have to adjust the tiller to increase it behind the lower limb, as is usually recommended? If so, by how much? I suspect others might be wondering the same thing. Chris (Maine, USA)
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89982 ай бұрын
Thanks brother I actually set mine dead even tiller and had no pressure on my bottom finger and it tuned really easy, I’ve had some ILF bows that I had to go slightly negative tiller but I didn’t need to with this one 👍🏻

I think experienced archers know it isn't the bow. Buying this bow won't help you shoot like Jeff unless you already have the same talent. Having said that I have 3 different sanlida bows, great value.

I just ordered one off AliExpress. I ordered a large titanium thermos from there in the past that was literally several hundred cheaper than off Amazon. Took a few months to arrive but it did come. I just paid 275 total too as if mid April 2024. You're welcome. And Jeff, THANK YOU A TON!!! Blessings y'all.

Back in stock on Amazon today! I just ordered one in 45lbs. They didn’t have any heavier than that though.

Your channel has turned into one big ad campaign. Bummer.

...accuracy is in the archer...not the bow... I will stick with the original Hoyt....I guess it just comes down to what your priority's are...Make America Great Again ... Buy chinese knock offs ? ...I mean , really, why would you want to support American made products when you can save so much money ...just my opinion...you are welcome to yours...

I completely understand that but this particular bow is not a knock off at all, it is they’re own design and unique unlike many other bows.

Pointless. You can’t buy one

Jeff, Since you are either to busy or you think you’re to good to answer the question I asked a few days ago I will unsubscribe just as soon as I finish this. Any channel owner, (like you)who feels they’re above answering their subscribers questions don’t deserve a channel.
