This is without a doubt the absolute best example of musicianship between Piano, Organ, Drums and Tambourine I've ever heard in my life. One of the greatest recordings ever!

Nowadays the organist tries to drown out the pianist and more so if the pianist is a good musician

One of the great classics from the premier classic gospel choir. “All I want from Him is a little more grace!” May I just add “Up in here?” PWG

This choir was really a skillful group. Their unique sound and sincerity distinguished them for all time. Absolutely peerless! Did I mention those kickin’ musicians? PWG

Listen to the organ, piano, drums and tambourines....the organ keeps the bass part in the pedals, and the piano does many interesting runs throughout the song! And those HIGH SOPRANOS! You can CLEARLY understand the soloist and choir...If only we would get back to this music in our Black churches! This music carried our families and congregations through rough times--a little more grace! You never want this song to end--thank You, God, for giving our people these songs of perseverance! HEH!

Yes real pianos, acoustic grand pianos Which a lot of Black churches have gotten rid of to be replaced by electronic keyboards yuck, as an accomplished pianist I've played on keyboards and prefer a "REAL PIANO" made of wood and the wool hammers and the resonance of the sounds on those spruce sound boards.

Hyacinthb--thanks for the tip! I believe she's singing "Only Your love must guide me, My Savior I'm trying to please!" Many of our black gospel choral songs were arrangements of others' lyrics, in which our lead singers often improvised freely, adding their own lyrics "on-the-spot" as they were inspired by the Holy Ghost. I saw/heard that often in my home church....
