2018 I was able to meet Kimi Shelter at a bar called Three Links in Dallas, Tx. I was there because my wife had ordered tickets to their show a few days before she had taken her own life. It was a week later, and I was able to speak to Kimi before the show and was honest on why I was there. During their set she got the band to sing this song, pointed at me and said "This is for you..." I won't ever forget that bit of kindness and understanding. This song has gotten me through some rough days, and I'm sure it's helped countless more with their grief and loss. This band is amazing, and I wish them only the very best.

I may almost be 6 years late to get on this train, but I'm here now. I've just got a crash course on Starbenders thanks to the 'If You Need It" video. The trail of videos guided me to this particular video/song, now my journey ends here. I found the sweet spot. This is so powerful, so encompassing.......I'm just going to drift into a lull with the replay button....

This video is beautifully done. It is like a miniature movie that deserves to be seen on the big screen. So many great ideas brought together perfectly. Haunting but gorgeous at the same time. That said and we haven't even touched on the song, which is a hit to my ears. This ought to be on the radio and performed on late night television shows everywhere. The voice that comes from the singer is sweet/sexy and just adds so much more to the song.

Those two words remind me of when I found out I had cancer and walked to the bus stop looking out into nothingness and just felt left to deal with the fact that that could have been the last of my days here on this earth. Time has never stopped for me more than at that moment. Love this song.
