Instruo Arbhar V2 | Grainmakers Playlist

I already made plenty of Arbhar videos, but this is the second V2 video. In this playlist, all granular modules in my collection need to process the same audio file so it's easy to figure out what they do. Now it's Arbhar's turn.

Best advertisement for Arbhar I've seen. First time I want one. I've been into Eurorack for about 6 years, starting classically with Mother 32 and Clouds. Based on this I find this chanel the most inspiring as it has a great balance of good sound, information as text (no talk thank you) and top filming. Makes me think that a video with your music, your filming of operations of all kinds of strange technical equipment like in hospitals, serverstations whatever but without any music equipment could be a great artwork. Another would be several screens in an art gallery with headphones attached, displaying your videos, and with framed stills for sale.

The musicality of it was what made Arbhar the game changer for me, much as I love the many other granulators I've got in both hardware and software. It's the only one that feels like an instrument and not just a texture box.

Big fan of Arbhar, recently bought the expansion pack with 2.1 firmware and now it's even better, stereo mode is superb, so is the ability to load full scenes. Arbhar sound library is nice too. This is a great playlist BTW, loving this series.

This is one of the best playlists out there. Never seen so many granulators in one place before. And with your usual high quality demos. «Theres a reson we eventually all end up with big cases…… yeah, just gone from 104 hp 12 U to 156 hp 12U myself. Cant go bigger. Have to carry the damn thing to gigs aswell… i i use the busses, trams and trains….. dog damn modular… how we love you :)

@@GeirOpdal I am temporaily on hold, decided not to buy any more modules and focus on the stuff I barely used like the Zoia. I still have an unexplored treasure chest which is close to hedonistic thanks to this channel. So absolutely no more modules for now! But I ordered Divkid's new expander and I have two Ochds. Also mailing with Mr. Lexer a lot and he contributed to the Arbhar V2 sound library. Also needed a second USB expander. And I wanted to finally finish my Instruo case which is now in a Shared System case with not enough headers and not enough power. I have a great Erica Synths case for it. But it has no final output. Instruo has a nice one that links to the back of the Carn. Got that one too. We are all f*cked.

@@CinematicLaboratory Yeah that expander to Øchd is a necessity. Like the Øchd. I also have a Error Instruments Bubbles in transit with UPS (the buggers managed to mess up delivery). Really looking foreward to testing that filter. Oh, and I have decided to get all the TipTop Audio Buchla modules. Oh man..... yes we truly are fucked.

@@GeirOpdal O, yes, Buchla/TTA is one of the best things that ever happened to eurorack. And there's a lot in the TTA pipeline. Some of these modules are huge.

Regarding your last message about larger cases. There are several videos on small systems, but not any on reasonable sized systems. Why?

I think people make it look like the rabbit hole is nothing to worry about. I think the ideal case for a system is 2x104 HP. It can stop there.

@@CinematicLaboratoryWhen you say „a system“ do you mean basically one system and if someone is interested additionally in another style of music then a second system would be added? I have now three x 176 and still not one mixer module. So, I feel I need one more 176 case (Rackbrute 6U) for the „rest“. All the three cases are full of modules I saw in your videos. 😊
