Thanks for your comments, man. I somehow didn't notice this presentation, til now .. (I have been following you, you see) .. granular synthing being what mostly attracted me to modular, in the first place. I've got a couple of Beads, .. and the "freeze" aspect of this design has been something that I've not delved into. But, this is inspiring me to go after that aspect of what I have, now. Or, .. maybe I'll be obtaining an Arbhar, someday? .. :)

Suprised there’s so few hardware granular offerings. Hope it follows the wavetable suit (another synthesis fav).

I did some black and death metal vocals into the Arbhar, for kicks and giggles. The results were quite fun. I especially liked messing with the time and pitch values after that. Just using all sorts of sounds and experimenting until something pops as interesting :)

Thank you for stopping by! yeah anything with rich harmonics, the arbhar can do some magic for sure! It's one of the most "musical" granular synths. It's very thoughtful. So while you don't get the "kitchen sink" features like the GR-1, it focuses on the small set of solid features that's unique to their design philosophy. I'll be posting some new vids on the arbhar with like a host of acoustic instruments so stay tuned. I think you'll like it!

@@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE look forward to it subscribed haha ! It would be interesting to see like a mic on the modular itself to record straight in without a daw

To me the best part of Arbhar is not being a 6 track granular processor as you showed but instead using the onset input and having it follow along with audio in real time using the detection and hold circuits. It does that better than any granular processor available. That and the reverb mode….
