I don’t pretend to understand most of what you are talking about, but I was wondering if drinking too much water along with salt restriction could dilute the electrolytes in the blood as wells other fluids in the body and cause some of the problems you are talking about. I’ve noticed a trend of people drinking lots of water (upwards of 100 oz) without thinking about the minerals needed to keep that water in the body and possibly even flushing minerals out of the system.

Absolutely! I have a very rare disease called Diabetes Insipidus or as we like to call it now, Arginine Vasopressin Deficiency. Arg Vasopressin is the hormone that tells your kidneys to hold onto sodium. I don't produce that hormone so without my replacement hormone, the kidneys would not hold onto sodium or water and I would wee myself to death basically. I have to balance carefully the amount of fluids I take in and the amount I wee out.

as a rule of thumb. introoducing a "targeted drug" for a certain condition will, over the years, create the necessity for 2 other "targeted drugs", fighting against the "side effects" introduced by their pedecessors. The physiology of our body forms an intricate network of relationships. Shooting with a cannon onto a target surely will have an effect... and deranging approximately every other part of the metabolic network. Someone understanding physiology inevitably thinks functional and integrative (which has nothing to do with schamanism, flower power, etc). The nice thing is that with such an nuderstanding the body can be helped to rerpair itself. starting with nutrition, exercise, and careful supplementation performed as a scientific procedure.

I am a layman with a scientific interest. I am amazed with what I believe is termed endocrinology, or body chemistry in my mind. My family members tends to be overweight. I am overweight but I work to control weight through diet and exercise. I have recently restricted salt in my diet, thinking this would lower my somewhat high blood pressure and reduce water retention. I think it had a small beneficial effect on blood pressure. I however experienced positional vertigo on the left side/ear. I wondered if this might have been partly due to salt reduction. I made a point to increase my water intake. I also increased other electrolytes such as calcium, potassium and magnesium. Am I imagining the vertigo connection to salt restriction? I have not had vertigo for several weeks and wonder if the substitute electrolytes are the reason. I also had the Eply procedure done to me and I now sleep on my right side and with my head elevated as my ENT recommended. Would you comment on the possible connection between salt and positional vertigo.

Losing weight isn’t the point. Losing fat is the point. Muscle gain that comes on carnivore will mute weight loss. @monnoo82215 күн бұрын
being insulin resistant with high BP indicates that you are near T2D. Fasting does not make much sense, or: almost none. As it has been presented on this channel in previous videos, you simply drop carb to less than 10% of your calories, retain mainly soluble fibers as carb source in your diet, meaning 0 sugar of any kind, ensure 1g protein per kg body weight, the rest from healthy fats (no seed oils), no ultraprocessed foods (no=0), and apply TrF with a 14h gap. ..and as we learnt hee: ensuring enough salt. Tthe result wll be that your insulin resistance will be gone within 2 months at most.
