Your question is a very good one, and we'd still like to answer it: In order to protect your covered auto from a potential theft loss, comprehensive, also known as other than collision coverage, must be purchased. Friend of mine got rear ended and car was totaled. the faulty driver worked for a dealership and the car-at-fault was dealer-property. No one wants to pay for the totaled car. Not the dealer, not the victim's insurance, not the driver-at-fault. go explain this! All these insurances are pure BS and after your money. If you are in a trouble, you are on your own.
