TERRIFYING Solo Asylum - LVL 777 Phasmophobia Randomizer

Last night, we had a lobby ghost on Asylum, but it was even a little more than that; I'm not exaggerating when I say this thing's territory was *massive* . We consistently picked up temperature readings below 10C in the lobby, and the hallway behind the lobby. Those same readings could be found up to, but not in the east/west wings of the Asylum. In terms of surface area, he was literally occupying 1/3 of the entire Asylum. First hunt happens, we all hide. Now, on Asylum I've always made a habit of hiding in the L-shaped hallways, where I can watch for the ghost's approach, and book it in the opposite direction. I look to one hallway: Clear I look to the other side: Clear. The hunt passes. We gave it a noble try on the spirit box, sweeping up and down its turf, trying to get a read. Infrared sensors, cameras, UV lights. The only evidence we ended up getting was ghost writing. I even joked at one point that it would be a Revenant, but we didn't know for sure. I decided to take a lighter and smudge stick just in case. Second hunt happens, we all hide. I stay in my favorite hallway, watching. I look to one hallway: Clear I look to the other: Clear When I looked back, there it was. Distant at first, but deliberate in its pace. Black as night, death in its eyes. It was a Revenant, bounding toward me. By the time I realized this, it was a couple meters from me. I freaked out and ran towards the lobby, popping the smudge stick as I went. As close as it was now, I could tell that it worked, and the ghost wandered aimless for a moment. I B-lined down the hall, hoping to get around the corner. Just as I did, I could hear it upon me, even as far as I had run. lmao I died. But hey, I got $39 for my trouble.

Dude I did a professional Bleasdale with a ghost that kept turning lights on. It turned on the lights in the foyer before we even unlocked the front door. It also kept throwing around objects on the ground floor. Then a light turns on upstairs while I'm heading to the building again with more equipment. Not only was the ghost actually upstairs - it was a fucking *Mare.* A very, very confused Mare. Ghosts can be tricksy and misleading little bastards.

Yesterday I was doing some houses, had a ghost without line of sight hunt me from the back bedroom upstairs spawn - all the way down the hall, down the stairs to the ground floor, down the stairs through 2 doors I shut behind me, into basement, into the back corner behind the far shelves, to kill me. All without once ever having line of sight on me, and my mic was muted when I ran.... craziest ghost sofar.

I had something similar happen in a random pro highschool lobby. I'd dropped my torch with the other 3 to go get sanity pills for everyone. Gave them pills and a hunt started without me realising, but I was still at the other end of the hallway and inside a damn classroom with the door shut. It killed me. So bizzare.

Me and my buddy have been getting Insta killed during hunts this past weekend, I remember Venttex saying the dev stated that once a hunt starts you're supposed to have 5-8 seconds before it actually attacks you. It spawned RIGHT on us and took us out asap. Some ol bs, man.

@@subatenome What I mean is I use a headset mic with a boom arm on it, so if I push the arm up, it's hardware muted and zero sounds can come through.

The specific thing about Poltergeist is that it has the ability to move multiple objects at the same time, for example, shutting all the doors in one room at once. And the Poltergeist has the most potential to roam past its favorite room (only this really applied in this scenario). But no evidence is certain evidence, that much is sure. Some Jinns turn off breaker and some Mares have turned on lights. Such is Phasmophobia.

i love you :D also to trigger ghost orbs if they’re not showing up, you’re relying heavily on rng. if they don’t show up early or mid game, a ghost event typically forces one to show up (in my experience)

I've only played this game for a couple hours with friends, but watching your videos has taught me a lot already. Not sure I'd ever want to play it solo, and I'm never sure of randoms in any game I play, but the nature of the game and the chance I might stumble upon you while playing makes me feel like it's worth it.

I like the crucifix idea, but if you did it that way making it to where the ghost immediately breaks the crucifix during a hunt would make it balanced. basically giving you two free passes to hunts if you need it

I had a banshee a couple days ago where it attacked at fuckin 80% sanity. I for sure thought it was a demon

That’s because banshees can hunt at the very beginning, but very rarely, as their ability bypasses sanity rules. (Pinpoints target player, moves to location, if it sees the player, starts hunt)

A demon's hunting modifier is only 15, so you'd have to be at about 65% for it to hunt. Anything above that is always a banshee.

That’s how I knew mine was a banshee. I had read about its crazy hunting abilities and I had narrowed it down to wraith or banshee. It was my first hunt ever, first experience with a banshee. Scared me half to death.

Would a no item run be possible (or maybe just a flashlight)? I’ve been running through the ghost types and I feel like a decent amount of them can be figured out with the proper map. Maybe high school? Jinn and revenant could be figured once you find the ghost room. You can figure out how long it takes to get from the ghost room to a certain point, position yourself far way but so the ghost can see you, and if they approach faster than you timed it is one fo them. If it is fast when it is close it is rev. (Maybe be by a door to hide quickly idk). Wraith could maybe be figured out by having it trail you trough places it shouldn’t be able to, for instance going through a desk. Ok as I’m writing this I’m realizing lots of things can be similar like Oni and Banshee. Maybe a minimal items run? Like, you don’t NEED salt for wraith, but you NEED a crucifix to figure out a Banshee. Just a thought, I realize this is insanely hard haha

Actually that one guy in chat said a rather clever challenge run : start with a photo camera and a strong torch and each time you get money from a photo you can roll another random item. Probably a very funny one to watch AND play (some ppl just don’t care if it’s mentally hurting you...)

I hate that orbs are so unreliable. You have to look at the cams for ages and thats basically just really boring if you play solo or even with 2 people. Hopefully they'll change that somehow. Wouldn't mind it being more challenging to get orbs, just not by waiting around and still getting nothing. Very entertaining video, thank you so much :D

When the 1st hunt happened the ghost was running around pretty fast, you could tell it was not a revenant from that, when a revenant is hunting and ur hiding its footsteps are like a slow walk. (he was trotting) I would had guessed spirit tho, the orbs are troll.

Yesterday I played with some randoms and we found out the ghost was a demon. I wanted to take a picture of it so i waited until it hunted but at the end I kinda got scared cause I remembered it was a demon. When it started hunting I was downstairs and the ghost was all the way upstairs. Then I went deep into the basement like 3 rooms in and hid in a corner and yet the ghost could chase me even though it couldn't hear/see me. Since then I've been so scared of demons. I died at the end and took a picture I literally thought I was so safe and that there was no way it could get me but it did.

On what Insym said on Crucifix’s, they should change it that the crucifix can prevent a hunt that is already going on but change the charge to 1. Then keep the 2 charges if it prevents a hunt from starting.

I got a chill when i have understand the ghost was in reception. totally a POG moment. But sadly th ghost was just touching a lot of phone and light, that impossible to know that was a Poltergeist. Poltergeist are like the "spirit" of ghost with abilities : nothing make them so different.

Supposedly if you click back into the game instead of alt-tabbing the audio will still work. It breaks when tabbing back in. This is easy if you're using more than 1 monitor, and it seems to work for me, but if you're just using a single monitor then you might be screwed.

I kind of guessed by how much he played around with doors and stuff and i have never seen orbs with the building cameras. I wouldn't judge by footstep sounds as i think they are randomized and i think they are not actually linked to how fast the ghost moves so you actually have to look at a ghost to see if it moves faster than usual (which is near suicidal when facing a revenant).

@@richogarden i can call bs on that. every ghost searches for players and moves around the area, the revenant is just slow when he doesn't have a target (as for how slow i do not know but definitely slower than when he is chasing). The only way i know to accurately guess that it is a revenant is to watch him speed up through cameras as you can definitely spot a change in speed when he is chasing but this is impossible to observe safely when playing solo.

You can see the ghost for a couple seconds during that second hunt. If you play the video slower there, it's one of the crawling ghosts. Looked like it was moving at a normal speed. =P

So out of curiosity, what made everyone think it was either a spirit or revenant? Only fingies showed up, right, so why were the other 3 ruled out? Temps aren't ALWAYS freezing and orbs aren't ALWAYS present, especially since poltergeists roam so you can't pinpoint their room that easy

Is headcam actually useless in solo? I think I remember seeing people taking it off and dropping it on the floor in the truck, and I was wondering if you could still look through a dropped headcam. It'd be worse than a normal cam that way, but it wouldn't use up your hand slots...

#Insym sometimes it takes abit to see orbs not always they are showing fast especially if the ghost is in another room then need to wait longer until it enter the room where the cameras are.
