So far I’ve gotten the twins ending, military and bandits. I’ve also gotten mutant MJ via roaches. I don’t have the hand dexterity to do the 60 seconds loot collection, so I do the mode where what ends up in your shelter is random - really happy with that kind of accessibility! 60 parsecs has the same feature. Anyway, I’m hooked now because of Insym. Thanks!

Another tip: You can also heal sickness if you feed them well (As soon as they get Hungry/Thirsty). If they don't starve/dehydrate they should get better eventually.

What it says for the person when setting up for send someone out the next day does have a meaning. Timmy saying he may not have a big chance was a signal that he's got the worst possible chances to return. Read those words for them with care when picking who goes out. Good luck getting an idea what is worst and best for each person, there's a lot of middle ground sentences.

@Insym The green goo event you got in the beginning can also trigger *Mary Jane's Mutation* if you don't do anything about it. Even if she doesn't turn mutant, there's no consequence if you don't do anything about this event. Nothing bad has ever happened to me. I'm surprised no one had mentioned that in Chat.

I dreamed about this game! 😂 Being in their situation is scary. It wasn’t like a game, I was actually experiencing it. There were weird mutated creatures outside. I even brought my dog to the shelter.

In terms of rationing food and water, every 5 days is the best time to feed them and give them water. When people come back from scavenging, feed them immediately, and one more time the next day (food AND water the day they come back, just food the day after). Then follow up on the 5th day of the intervals. For example, if they come back on day 17, feed them again on day 20 to get back on schedule. This is the most reliable way to feed your people. People say (and sometimes I did too, to help preserve a tiny bit of food) to start on day 7 for food but with how weird the food scaling works in this game, it's just better off to do it every 5 days, and not take any risks. As for Mutant Mary Jane, the situations you get her from are mainly from the spiders, but you can also get her from the green liquid in the pipes, and the cockroaches. I'm not too familiar with Reatomized compared to the original game, so I don't know if the spiders are more reliable. But no matter which one you get, just don't use an item at all, and just pass on the option to do anything. The game will then decide Mary Jane's fate. (Side note: Be careful with MMJ if you get her. There is a scenario that may potentially show up that will ask if you want to talk to her or not. It's literally just a 50/50 coin flip if she stays in the shelter or not, which is total BS, but it is what it is.) Hopefully this helps clear up some confusion, good luck on the rest of your runs! 😊

Would love to see you do some of the challenges to get the hats and skins for the shelter items! You know so many of the events and outcomes at this point, many of the challenges wouldn't feel impossible, and several would be easy! The Delores challenge with just the dog gets you a cute skin for Pancake, and is a "no expedition challenge."

Replying to myself to add instead of edit: BTW, the guy in the blue jumpsuit will give you a gasmask if you don't have one. If you have a working gasmask, it is a waste to give him the water. But if you need a gasmask, it can be worth the trade. But for sure don't do that trade if you have a working gasmask, it doesn't hurt you to not give him water.

Nothing do to with the video but MAN I found some horror mods for zomboid and the first person it came to mind was you lol I made a combo of, knock knock a mod that add mandela catalogue voices and sounds to zombies, true alerts add more jumpscares sounds the surprise TAAM that happens when a zombies get you by surprise, this is not a jumpscare sound everytime one shows up lol, the long night makes the game always night, darwood music for ambiance cause the game music is meh, afraid of monsters zombies is a skin and AoM zed animations is a real horrifying animation that combos with the sounds and darkness beautiful, whispering zombies duh self explanatory I'm yorn between always foggy and always night both are terrifying. Zomboid gets kinda dull solo after you make a base and have enough supplies with those it will still be scary specially when one starts knocking and talking on your window at night 😅

From what ive seen of this game, the every 5 day strategy is best. Doleres has the least amount of events so shes the best parent to keep. Theres a few events you have to skip on to attempt to get mutuant mary jane. I think a lot of it is just knowledge of what the events do to know if you should entertain it.

With the scout handbook they can go FIVE DAYS without food and water. Without the scout handbook it's only 4 days.

About the food - if u let them go into starvation the status after feeding comes back only by 1 day, so it’s more efficient to feed them as soon as it says hungry, hen it will reset and start the hunger count again instead of just going back 1 day. In contrary with water u can keep them until second day of dehydration and when you let them drink then it will reset the count. Those are 2 different mechanics on purpose so u can’t just mindlessly give them food and water every 5 days 😅
