Int Word 4.5 Inserting If-Then-Else Fields

i have a question, i am trying to put a chart in excel only if something else meets certain criteria. I am hoping there is a way to put a certain chart in a word document using an IF statement for a mail merge. Please let me know, if you could!

Dear Volker, I was reviewing your you tube posting and understood you to say if I hold down Alt and F9 that the fields and code would be shown. I tried that on my iMac and was not able to see the fields and code. Do you know what key or keys I need to use on an iMac. Thanks, Don
