Intake Manifold installation - The way I do it.

Nice work Gary 👍 You stuck that landing real nice ! I am a bit of a sicko and really like using the rubber end seals with just a dab of silicone at each corner. All the rest of it gets Gasgacinch on both sides. Chasing all the threads really helps keep it smooth too 👍 Best days to you and crew !

I have used the rubber end seals before with "some" luck. Interesting that this gasket set didnt include them at all. Will have to look into Gasgacinch - never used that before. Thanks!

@@garyscarstuff- It is pretty much a contact cement, one of their old advertising placards would make some great shop art ! The Gasgacinch girl has been cool longer than I can remember 🏁🏁🏁

It's been a long time since I resealed a SBC. The last two aftermarket manifolds I have had don't use the rear crossover. And a fair few don't use the heat riser/ EGR crossover. You are good with no washers with flanged bolts like the ones you have. I personally (my preference, allot of people seal all of them) don't use sealer on any of the ports. The old guys used to use "Indian Head Sealer" on the ports. I'm not sure if you can still get it or not. In my opinion GM 12345678 (If my memory is correct that is the P/N, it may be different now it's been 17 years) sealer is the best sealer for intake ends (China Wall). Really nice video!!! Oh, and x2 on torquing the manifold.

Thanks Michael! I've used the "Indian Head" stuff on the intake ports before but found it to be a pain if you ever have to remove the manifold again.
