Dude, this video just showed me exactly what is wrong with my car. I really didn't want to get into it without seeing how it looked on the inside first but now I know. Thank you.

Hey, I drive my self a 1990 accord CB7 with F22a3 in it 150hp is stock rating. I have grinded cam in it with 10mm lift on intake and exhaust valve. Milled head 0.8mm taked off 9.8cr is now 10.5cr. My self little ported head not crazy because F22 is head leader, not polish. Bigger exhaust 2.25", cold air intake charge, stock filter and box. IAB deleted, Walbro 255lph pump with 4bar fuel pressure. Stock injectors. I give you tip what i tell you to do if you dont know, remove the throttle body water circulating line, that heats the air really much I supraised how much it affect the air density. And a I have to advanced the valve timing on one teeth, because idle and torque. Now works relly good and stock ecu. Good work mate keep going! Also Radius valve seats and grinded valve arms, valve springs are stiffened with washers...

And I also cleaned the intake as you with gas and port matched with gasket, and more vented valve cover and no PCV on intake or anything which get dirty in there Catalytic converter also deleted haha:) list going on...

YO! Thanks for the support and advice! That's so sick man, sucks I live here in Cali haha I'm stuck with emissions till my death (Or I move out of state) so I can't go without a cat haha This is alot of good info and I'll definitely take a look into it. How did you reroute the water passages on the throttle body? It'd be sick to see a video of the engine to get a reference! I just found out my engine has oil seeping through to the cylinder heads so I'm about to tear everything up and change tons of gaskets so I'll have it all out soon. I plan on keeping everything stock looking'ish but I can definitely do a majority of those upgrades since they're hidden under everything. I just grabbed and installed a catch can too to avoid tossing alot back into the new intake so hopefully it's good enough since I can't really do much with it at the moment

@@PaycoTsunami I live Finland my self, and here every road legal car needs to be checked every year once and pass the emmissions and other stuff what they check under neeth the car. But I did one extra flange before cat, so I can take it off and put it back when ever I whant. When you take the throttle body water line off you just put the lines together, line what towards front put that with metal line what also goes normally throttle body. Thanks, it is fun to see so there is someone else how like to build oldskool Honda😉 The throttle body warming mith be good in winter but summer its a waste of oxygen. It affects the Air fuel ratios offcourse, so when you take it off you might get it lean mixture but that is good when we whant power more. I hope you get it what I am telling and yea.

You’re supposed to cut all the web out of the intake manifold and port n polish the cuts make more air way just cleaning won’t give you more horsepower check out youngstatic tutorial on to port a intake manifold cutting out the web on those

Hi maybe on it going to need help I got the same car same motor please thank you thank you for the help
@mradidasppkfrmMCst4 жыл бұрын
Or look up drivenfilms he has a H23A same design intake manifold and when he cut all holes on the web inside the manifold his car gain horsepower and torque all around allowing more air by cutting all those holes inside the intake manifold area so it basically a big open cut manifold

It looks like someone has already removed and cleaned the EGR ports and replaced the plugs. I just had to do that 2 weeks ago..Not too bad and the car is finally fixed..

I know this video is over a year old, but I had success in putting a litre of degreaser concentrate in a tub of hot water and leaving for 24 hours, barely did any hand cleaning and it just came off. Also can use kerosene

diesel and some brushes probably would have been faster to clean it. I recommend you get a thermal plenum spacer and intake gasket...the plenum spacer makes a difference at low RPM. I also recommend the H23 plenum instead of the A6 for the high RPM gain. Got me a Rosewood Brown '92 LX Sedan with an F23A block, ported and semi polished A1 head, A6 cam, PT6 ECU, A4 header/down pipe, complete H23A1 intake mani. and those thermal gaskets I mentioned and oh man is it fun to drive 😊
@PaycoTsunami5 жыл бұрын
Haven't heard about diesel as a cleaner yet! thanks for the heads up! I really wanted some spacers but they don't make them anymore for the car unless I look very hard in some junkyards. I'll defo keep an eye out for sure! Sick ass build, you should do some numbers on it. I'm really interested to see what you can pull. I just came back from NC so I've been out for almost half of a month, I like that idea of porting a head so I'm definitely going to look into it!

I was thinking that throttle body was an ITB system at first; how does performance compare to a single throttle on the American accords?
@PaycoTsunami5 жыл бұрын
well from what I gathered the single throttle is just as is, it's a common 4 cylinder throttle BUT the butterfly system adds that extra air needed at a higher RPM which kind of gives it it's boost (4200 RPM'ish). If you remove the butterfly system, it really cuts into the bottom end hard (Low RPM).
@Creeperboy0995 жыл бұрын
PaycoTsunami basically external VTEC?
@PaycoTsunami5 жыл бұрын
@@Creeperboy099 hahaha prehistoric V-Tec you can say
@NStalk35 жыл бұрын
It's amazing the misinformation that spreads like wildfire. Those butterfly valves in the intake runners open at a higher rpm to shorten the runners lengths. This increases the hp at higher rpms and when they close it increases lower end engine torque. Nothing like vtec at all

@@NStalk3 dude lighten up, obviously it was a joke. It's always harder to convey it up over text, but thank you for tossing up more information for anyone else interested in the topic.

Or Deadbeatgarage on KZbin he cut out the web on a F20b intake manifold same design as this F22a you need to cut all those holes out and leave it a open square rectangular design the open cut will slow more air flow then the air going tru each hole 🕳 hope that makes sense to you good job on your build just trying to help you gain real gains the right way
