either some instruction set is maxed out (resulting in a lot of wait or sleep operations which depending on API and monitoring software may not be shown as usage but eg IOWait is Usage as the Xe Cores wait register has x amount of slots and if all are occupied thewn it simply cant even begin aanother task leading to underutilization ) or a driver bug.

Each GPU handle VRAM differently like in RDR2. This is why you cannot judge a graphics card based on VRAM.

Ghost of Tsushima and Forbidden West have both got quite low Intel GPU utilization, that's gotta be an optimization issue. RDR2 shows this too, and it's even more obvious when you compare the relative performances in RDR vs RDR2, which often has only in the 70% GPU utilization range.

Developers ship content using the standardized lossy DXTC and that can't be compressed any more with FAST alghorithms. NEW NV Neural TC have to be used by developers when shipping the game. Even win are not using compressed RAM on 32GB - task manager / mem. CPU/GPU can't operate with compressed data and have to be uncompressed for executing.

The most interesting thing is that if the images are real, there is a very serious quality difference between the images projected on the screen by the two cards. I don't know how they look so different, but the difference in light, sharpness and shading is very big and the same difference is always present in every game. B580 is definitely sharper, clearer and superior in details, as if the resolutions are not the same.

12GB is totally fine for 1080 and most mid level 1440 experiences. The 7600XT has too much ram and too little grunt for market dominance. On paper, when you look at die size and memory bus the B580 should actually be a bit further ahead, so there's still some optimization of the architecture and drivers to go. But maybe that shortfall in performance shows up in the power consumption? Intel has great power and thermal control. Plus a much better feature set even in the second iteration.

Usually, I don't test encoding and decoding, but generally, AMD is terrible at that. Typically, even the ARC A770 performs better in encoding and decoding than the RX 7600 XT. Now, imagine the B580. AV1 on all Intel Arc cards, especially Battlemage, is extremely good and not comparable with AMD. AMD is literally the worst at it. And Intel ARC is specifically designed for AV1 encoding, and because of that, it performs even better than the RTX 4060. Expecially better than all RTX 3000 series even RTX 3090 Ti bcs 3090 Ti for example doesn't have AV1 hardware encoding.

Would be good if you add the driver you are using. Damn. Up to 25% faster and half the Wattage. So much potential with 190W max and hardly hits 100W in most of the games. That is stock also 2850 MHz. These overclock easy too to 3200 MHz for 10% gain.

With the settings I tested, you can’t get more than 40 FPS. Check the settings I used 1440p with high. High itself is not a problem the problem is pp because all of it is maxed out.

Depends what consoles you are emulating? Emulation is usually very CPU intensive so GPU shouldn't matter too much (as long as you have a half decent GPU) unless you are trying to emulate something like the PS4 @ 4K.

@@omparab3875 I have been emulating for over 20 years and never have I had to worry about GPU drivers. As I said, emulation is CPU intensive so as long as you have the power behind your GPU that meets the emulator requirements, you should be fine. Emulators rely on certain graphic API's e.g. DirectX, Vulkan, OpenGL etc. and not a specific GPU. All new GPU's will support these API's so I really see no reason why a B580 would have any trouble at all.

@thespectator3312 no major issues noticed in either Cyberpunk 4K RT or Star Citizen in 3K. In my case it was a no brainer, more vram with 4% less performance but RSR and frame gen make it perform better. Got a game I wanted and sold the other so I mean it was 0 difference in the end. I also got better HDR support, the A770 I returned gave me headaches.. Which was also one reason I wanted to avoid Intel this time. I couldn't select ycbcr 444 either. I couldn't use gpu acceleration in chrome or game launchers either, it would make the screen flicker or turn it on-off rapidly. I've bought gpus since TNT 2 Ultra, the A770 is by far the worst I've owned throughout these years. I rather go with amd/nvidia's new gen this Q1.

Couple of my people preordered a GPU for 250 bucks. Don’t insult out of frustration if you didn’t manage to buy it, people preordered it and it’s currently out of stock. You can find it at a scalped price, and of course, it depends on where you live.

MSRP. But MSRP is basically nothing now. The market will pay $370 for the card, so that's what end sellers will charge. Supply and demand. Manufacturers are either deliberately keeping supply low (that's where my bet is), or are physically unable to keep up with demand. Paper launches are the standard now. As sucky as that is.

Unfortunately, in my case an Intel card costs practically the same as an AMD card and since the RX7600xt has 16 Gb and is more efficient, unfortunately they will have to buy a Radeon

You know that all three of those processors aren’t low end, and those three CPUs aren’t the same at all, the R5 7600 is almost like an i7 13th. What you said doesn’t really make much sense because this is a GPU comparison, and the CPU has nothing to do with it, the GPU is already without a CPU bottleneck, and you would get the same results in all cases without a CPU bottleneck because the GPU would render the same number of frames.

@@lordrushiacanyoupleasesayb3263 Yes, but the 7600 is totally fine for this GPU. With the 7600, or even the 7500F, you would get the same framerate. However, with the 5600, it could be problematic, especially with the 3600, as it would cause a CPU bottleneck, particularly without Resizable BAR. So, yes, you will need a mid end CPU for the B580. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend getting the B580. At the very least, go for the Ryzen 5 7500F, Ryzen 7 5700X3D, or i5-13600K. Anything better is fine as well.

The smoothness is completely the same. Frames are frames, not artificially rendered by frame generation everything is native and raw.

Msi after burner doesn't show the actuall power useage. It doesn't support it.
