The naming should be way different too i agree. They could even make a play on the legacy names.. ex.. Px8x (P for Pentium) So, first X would be the generaton, like the x86 and the 2nd x the grade of CPU. ex: i3 = p181 i5 = p183 i7 = p185 i9 = p189 So now if we don't call i3, i5, i7 and i9 only the full CPU nomenclature, we would always know what generation and grade of CPU we have, like in the past, 386, 486, Pentium 1, Pentium 2.. etc.

As the saying goes, take everything with a grain of salt and wait for 3rd party reviews after the 13th and 14th gen fiasco. And as you said, Intel needs a win because competition is good and needed against AMD.

Intel Arrowlake performance so far is a joke. I would not be suprised to see the actual retail pricing comming in at $50 over MSRP. It may be a paper launch. Lets wait and see.

People don't get! If we take a look at Intel and AMD history, the one who always focus on performance at all cost was AMD (and price in the past too). Intel focus always was about renewing they're tech. Some times it came with more performance than AMD, other times more efficiency. Granted on 2010s, Intel and AMD lost they're focus but now it's back to both company legacy. I don't get why people ignore efficiency, it's a HUGE step forward, but you you want full performance at all cost, go AMD.
