Intel Compute Stick M3 - Can it survive in 2023?

To be honest I ordered one off of eBay for $55 and was very disappointed in it

Why were you disappointed, and how is it now?

I honestly don't think there's really any use case for this device that can't be done with a laptop (or dare I say, tablets) especially with that steep price tag. 200-300 USD could've gotten you some decent Gen 6 or Gen 7 laptop nowadays, comes free with keyboard and trackpad too! and if you _must_ use that 4K TV you can just get a HDMI cable with the change.

We use Intel and Terryza sticks for our 3 apartment lobby displays. They are small enough to be attached behind the screen and can display a slide show or websites. We did encounter problems with one w 32 GB of storage because Microsoft didn't have space to update Windows. After 3 years I'm still impressed that these little computers which weigh very little can play videos and run Windows.

These devices are great with Linux + gaming servers Run about 15 gaming servers under linux with the Core-M5 version and 4GB of ram (neat device)

Looking on eBay there are 8GB ram with 128GB rom versions for less than £200...With at least 2 USB ports...one being USB3 I think...I saw one with 256GB rom for £220...So they are still about.

Have heard they stick pc's have problems with the HDMI port coming lose from the mb and so they no longer send out a signal to the monitor or tv.
