Looking at a 11700k and 11900k at the time about a month ago a i9 was around $293 to i7 $280 so figured for $13 more I would get an i9. However, now that I'm ready to grab my CPU the price has jumped to $319 for an i9 and still the $280 for an i7. Now after seeing this and other benchmarks I'll save that $40 and get a few games to go with that new CPU. Either way I'm moving from a 4690K so either CPU will do the job when paired with my 2080. I always like to build my PCs 2-3 years out of current as its usually around 10 years newer than the parts I have and its fair prices for what was once top of the line.

So I been deciding in Upgrading my i5-11600K with a i9-11900k. After watching this video, I have a few question, first of all I know the i7 11th gen is the better price to performance of the 2. My question is, what’s the difference if they’re both 8 cores 12 threads….. Where is the advantage of the i9 which in newer gens it translates to more cores. I don’t wanna upgrade to 12th gen since My MoBo is leas than a year old.

@@Tomxhawk So from my i5-10400F to i5-11600K was definitely a difference. Definitely an upgrade. I just don’t see how the i7 or i9 11th gen is an upgrade. Sadly I’m stuck with 11th gen for the next couple years since my MoBo is a 500 series, and just build my pc last November with all new parts.

Долго выбирал между 11700K, 11900 и 12700. В итоге выбор пал на 11700K из-за хорошей цены/качество. Вместе с материнской платой Z590 Aorus Pro AX и охлаждением Cooler master 212 Evo температура в играх в среднем 64 градуса, в не очень продуваемом корпусе с видеокартой GTX 970. Что я считаю отличным показателем для такого процессора. Хоть все говорят, что он очень горячий. До этого был 8700K в стоке, и грелся он точно также в играх, а то и даже больше, хотя имел меньше частоты. Хотя в той же аиде, да, 11700К через секунд 30 уходит в тротлинг. У 8700K такого не было в аиде. Хотя в играх все наоборот по температурам выходит. Разницы особой не почувствовал в производительности, так как сравнительных тестов для себя никаких не делал, да и играю в основном онлайн шутеры с старой видеокартой GTX 970: CS Go, PUBG, Battlefield 4/1. В любом случае всем советую, и супер охлаждение не нужно для игр, главное продуваемый корпус и правильно установленные вентиляторы в нем. Кстати, блок питания у меня не имеет нужного количества кабелей питания для процессора, так как вместо положенных 8+4 пин питания на материнке, у меня подключен только 8 пин разъем. Все работает без проблем. Разгонять не пытался, возможно придется менять блок питания для этого. Единственное пробовал для интереса понизить оффсет напряжение до -0.05V. Температуры упали до 8-10 градусов по всем ядрам при этом проверял тест на стабильность в Cinebench R23.

Сижу сам на 11400f+z590 msi torpedo, тоже смотрю на 11900к или 11700к. Главная проблема это то что надо покупать водянку(смотрю в сторону ls520) или не надо для игр? У меня охлад Gammaxx 400ex.

@@DolphinArtem у меня охлаждение Cooler master 212 Evo, его хватает для 11700К. В играх до 70 градусов с не самым продуваемым корпусом. А разгонять смысла не вижу судя по тестам, разница небольшая, а потребление намного выше. Конечно если есть лишние финансы, можно и по лучше охлаждение поставить, но если у вас оно уже есть и оно справляется, то зачем его менять?

@@DolphinArtem Судя по информации в интернете, он очень схож с моим, а значит должен справиться с 11700К. Но стресс тесты он точно не вывезет как и мой (хотя и смысл насиловать проц в тестах). Но для игр его будет достаточно. В бенчмарке cinebench r23 у меня было максимум 77 градусов. а если сделать оффсет напряжения -0.05в, то температуры еще упадут на 8-10 градусов.

CPU load is under 50% in most games most of the time, so if you're on a budget it's better to get a slightly cheaper CPU and spend the money on better GPU.

Virtually nearly no difference. Glad I didn't get the then $200 more i9 for this 2 year old setup(second streaming PC with 3080ti). I've seen some 4K comparisons and even then its almost no difference because the GPU fills out more netting almost no advantage from either CPU. The only time the i9 nets more FPS and it's still marginal is when the FPS is cranked up to 120 locked. But in both cases both CPUs struggle to get an 3080ti or 3090 to 120fps in Ultra 4K in tested titles.

@A на 300 мгц на 1 ядро, на200 на 2 ядре и на 100 на 3ядре, дак 11700к тоже так можно запросто разогнать, только вот 11900к горячее будет, замучаешься его жар удерживать, получишь падение частот при нагреве, если у 11700к оно уже адское, то у 11900к там ваще жесть, это очень горячие процессоры! Не вижу никакого смысла в 11900к, если есть 11700к и дешевле!

@A 🤣😂 а зачем тебе тогда такой процессор для игр, которые его никогда не нагрузят?) стресстесты делаются при разгонах и даунвольтинге, проверяется камень под полной нагрузкой, а так вобще такие процессоры больше для работы предназначены, чем для игр! Тот же рендер например, через пол часика, там примерно такая и будет нагрузка как в стресстесте! Для игр 11700к даже излишек, можно что-то и попроще даже! Надо было тогда сразу уже 18-ти ядерный брать для игр😂

@@Sharry220x Yep very little performance difference compared to the i9-11900K. The i9-11900K only getting a 2 to 3% performance boost at best. Not even worth Upgrading. If the i9-11900k processor was like 15% faster then I could see maybe upgrading.
