I agree 100% with the need for clarification on how Canadian law and social media intersect. As a studying Criminology major, i often when reading case law there exists grey area when applying the existing laws to the offences. The laws themselves seem to be applied on a case by case basis. Interesting topic!

Yay, right video, but on Tuesday :) Edit: I don't see it being the platform's (KZbin, Instagram, etc.) responsibility to verify an account is legally using trademarked content. Trademark owner needs to file a claim and request it's removal. Similar domain spoofing is old news, that's up to the consumer to pay attention to what they're clicking. As to verified users that seems to only be done for popular platforms with a million or more followers. There should be a way for anyone to opt into such verification.
