This speech gave me a moment to think about the hidden meaning in the relationship.. Now, the Ai tech is under such a fast development that soon we will face with the machine with human like emotion.. then the relationship will be the first priority to make the balanced life style.

But one thing all of us junior engineer will not look dumb the thought that: it is just putting Helium in those balloons plus adding some small DC motors controlled by a micro -controllers plus distance, motion, and image sensors, it may result that tech on the stage as an outcome. I was wondering if the Senior engineers Team that built this tech would tell a different narrative.

I guess it's a cultural thing, but these things conjure fear and terror in me. They remind me of the War of the Worlds invasion, the repulsive egg sacs in the Alien movie franchise and the human battery coffins in the Matrix. I even had an instinctual revulsion to her purple top. I feel an evolutionary urge to avoid spindly fuzzy dusty stringy purplish things as a poison or danger alert, similar to cockroach antennae or a virus molecule. I was not raised in an environment where squid tentacles, eels and jellyfish are deemed "cute". They are gross and repulsive like slime and snot and are reminiscent of disease. I do see these things as scientifically interesting, so I guess I can view them maybe as beautiful through that lens... like a mechanical beauty. Just keep them away from me please.

These comments don't pass the vibe check. It's an art project designed to provocate the question of humanity in machinery. It doesn't exist to "do" anything for you. it isn't a proposed future where we replace animals with machines. It's a statement trying (to what I understood anyway) to bridge the gap between emotion/nature with technology. to provoke thoughts of form above function. of symbiosis over total human rule. An artist can make someone on one topic without destroying another. Just because this was created does not discredit wildlife protection causes. There is literally no need to be so one dimensional.

Oh, my, God! Why would TED allow this commercial? She said we need to connect more with machines and technology. Wrong! We need to blend the technology seemlesly for our benefits to make our lives better. Not push it in our faces more. She said the museun had a large empty space so she decided to it with huge bubble drones. How about filling it with layers of design that resembles the nature? How about filling it with something that will make us think more about our existance on this planet tigether with animals and fauna? How about instead if trying to figure out how can we coexist with drones we should figure out how to not destroy animals and save entire species of them?
@Iuventius2 жыл бұрын
I think this statement misses the point. The point is to be able to bring artful machines into daily lives that can "wow" us. It's not about connecting necessarily, but more about appreciating and incorporating more aspects of nature into machines. The argument should be more on where people are investing their money.

It is wonderful to contemplate the created life. There are cities available for low-mobility groups of the population. But what about accessibility for robots? A bunch of wires, everyone could see the debris hanging from them. Robots require charging, this can be solved with the help of solar panels. But what to do in winter, when there is little sun, batteries do not like low temperatures. Will robots hibernate like bears? In addition to aesthetics, what benefits they can bring to the ecosystem, but the harm in the form of waste is obvious. Well, you can say that they are indoor, but what style can they fit in, I would choose a cat.
