Just remember, if you are going to be using Cheat Engine with Dark Souls Remastered, you also need the stealth edit plugin. So make sure to download and extract the archive, then open the cheat table. Once Cheat Engine is running, navigate to Edit / Settings / Plugins, click Add new, select the umstealthedit-x86_64.dll, tick the box, and then click OK.

i followed the steps for ds1 remastered but when i get to the dropdown menu in CE it wont let me set "open" to active, not allowing me to use the table. There's apparently some Lua error on line 3 of where its trying to do arithmetic on a nil value. Anyone got any tips for this or having the same issue?

When I attempt to open the table it doesn't work, and when I right click it tells me "Lua error in the script at line 3:Failure determining what GetD means." This is very confusing as I have opened the table once before and it seemingly worked fine, Although I forgot the stealth edit. Only after I installed the stealth edit have I gotten this error, I have tried removing the stealth edit, reinstalling updating cheat engine to the newest version, deleting and reinstalling the table shown in the video in addition to a different one, but I keep getting this error when I hit open. EDIT: I was able to fix this by removing the entire Auto assemble GetD section from the script, if you are also experiencing this issue click on the error text after right clicking to bring up the menu, which will bring to the script, there will be multiple sections under lines marked with auto assemble that will say GetA, GetB GetC ect, *scroll to around line 30 or until you see GetD, delete that whole section and leave a single space between previous section and the one after and hit ok.* Thats how I solved it at least.

I ordinarily wouldn't try to cheat on something like dark souls, but the game is SUPPOSED to drop a symbol of avarice guaranteed by the time the last mimic in the game is killed -- but in Dark Souls Remastered, I've checked, double-checked, and triple-checked the mimic list on my current playthrough, and have even thrown in the ones on the DLC -- no Symbol drop! I did die at the same exact time as one of the mimics I killed in Duke's Archives, and I think it must have dropped that time. It's possible for the drop to despawn, in which case you lose your "guaranteed" drop until NG+. I'd really rather move on to DS2 after I beat Gwyn on this playthrough, so this was absolutely my only way to get the SoA on this character. The game forced my hand by locking me out of that item with poor design; that's my story and I'm stickin' to it! 😉

Ornstein didn't drop the Leo Ring for me. In offline mode and using the stealth plugin, I successfully spawned a Leo Ring from a moss, got it and even equipped it. Then I quit the game and when I tried to login again it said my save file was corrupted. I really don't know what I am doing wrong.

I know its a year late but I had this issue. When adding the stealth edit plugin, you have to not just add it but click the checkbox next to it to enable it. Reload the cheat engine and it works.

If anyone is having issues with error 126, I solved it by placing the .CR and .dll files in the Cheat Engine directory. Probably keeping the .ct file in a directory close to the .dll should fix the problem.

Ok, nvm I figured it out. So, the answer here is that the DS2 actually doesn't use the stealth file. You follow the item swap method from DS1, outside of the stealth file part. Works like a charm. Sunlight medals here we come.

i can't mark the first checkbox "Open" when starting with Dark Souls Remastered. I extracted the stealth plugin, added it in the settings, checked the box and saved the settings, but it still doesn't work for me. any tips?

for some reason the helper section of the cheat engine doesn't work anymore, it was working fine for several days but now it says "error while scanning for aob's"

I know im late but i did everything right and i pressed open on the dark souls remasterd one and went to helpers and pressed on item swap and the menu just wouldnt come down

am having an issue with the table, the "open" box would previously work and bring up the other option fine but now the box is unable to be check and I have no idea what is causing this. thing changed I just closed and reopened the program then it no longer worked. any idea how to fix this?

Thanks, I killed karla by mistake on my first run (as a pyro) so i coudln't use the tome to get dark pyro spells & i didn't want to continue to play without it or to restart a new game.
