Intense Channel Race in the RS 800

Was supposed to be bay racing... but the wind was up, so instead we raced in the harbour. But with low water it turned in to an intense boat handling exercise.

Great video over all. The way the various views were edited / stitch was really nice. Major work out 'eh ? The course being in the narrow channel. I chuckled at the weather mark, round ... and a 1 and a 2 and a 3 and 'gybing' LOL ... passing that boat when you capsized... You really needed to gybe way earlier. But once you got closer (and with all your speed and the other boats erratic roll) I would have head up a bit, giving him some berth, leaving him to starboard and initiate a gybe right as you passed him, and come out from under their lee bow the way you did on the 9'r earlier. Wicked cool video !

Fantastic! I particularly like the decision-time analysis around the dinghy. On fast unstable boats, I've ended up in similar situations, and it's so fast it's not easy to recall later exactly what the sequence was. Kudos. I can tell a lot of work has gone into this.
