The First place I ever seen a 50# Claymore it was attached to a spider wire thin daisy chained trip wire also set up to an inverted LAW Tube above in a tree on the other side of the little trail. Very elaborate, crudely simple, extremely destructive set up. That was in Colombia, a few life-times ago, but still watching this video I found myself holding my breath in a couple of scenes when they are in the wood line and there are a few little trails branching off in different directions, I just want to hold my fist up and yell FREEZE! Also knowing that doing that would mean death, but it is hard to keep that thought of there being that 'invisible' little wire attached to a fucking hand grenade going across the trail out of my head. And Hell, the FARC would string those things up from Big Toe height up to around the neck, sometimes putting fish-hooks on parts of them to grab your cammies better, real nasty shit. But 'we' were moving at a pace that we controlled I guess, even though we were in his backyard, we weren't moving in duress under fire, we weren't "Assaulting" the enemy positions I guess you could say. Even then, finding one (REDACTED Trap) while patrolling really slows you down, finding a mine is worse because the FARC doesn't mark those either and there is no way of knowing if you are in the middle, just starting into it, or leaving the mine field once you discover you're in one.
