This weeks video is intense! Coyotes crept in and took me by surprise twice, and it didn't always work out... Come on the adventure with me and check out some of my most fun moments in the coyote fields this season. It's never a bad day when you have an AR15 in 6.5 Grendel and a thermal scope!

Very nice video! I like thermal for locating (tracking) them but still prefer NV for target ID and taking the shot.

My two favorite shooters on KZbin, Keith & Norm! Excellent shooting boys. Some dogs are so tough. Wish I could go shooting. Had abdominal surgery due to crashing a dirtbike at my outdoor motocross race last weekend. So post more videos! Keith, I wanna see Norm wrestle a bear. 😂

Nice shooting. Jesus! You guys have a pretty active area. Open too. I’ve got neighbors within 350 yrds. The last dog I put down was just over their side of the fence at 210 I think with my .22 mag, and I was REALLY having to watch my background. Ended up taking him when he got in front of some railroad ties. I’m still waiting on that PARD for some night action. You look like have a pretty good deer population in your area, unless those were really small cow tracks. It was quick, but it looked like a pretty active game trail when you went after that last dog. I gotta get to my garden. Another good video. Be safe guys.

Optics are top notch and most of the shooting is too. We have our share of coyotes in south central Pa but having a gun when you catch a glimpse of one is like having a camera ready when you see a ghost or bigfoot.

Sweet looking set up and great shooting. LOL I can relate to the CRS moment on the turrets, I did it just yesterday evening shooting pigeons at the farm...best part though was I darn near did it on the very next shot which was far enough out to dial the distance in. Getting used to the Strelok which will really be handy with the new Wildcat. Custom work (stock dipping) is reason for delay but am eagerly being patient LOL. Getting Kuiui Vias pattern.

How could I hunt on public land (or private.. I dont even know where to start for that) ? Ive been researching BLM spots down in UT hoping to get lucky and find something good, but I dont even know where to look and what things to look for. I wish I could scout in person, but Im up here in ID - any advice is greatly appreciated!

Sorry guys but that's the worst shooting i've seen you do ..... Lots of wounds .... Imho you need a flatter faster round that gives more tolerance to your drops for that type of shooting .
@68Whiskey
@68Whiskey 2 жыл бұрын
Wounds? There were some clean misses but also some very dead dogs. I can take the heat if i was wounding dogs but thats not the case here man. I missed i didnt wound. Maybe it didnt come through right in the video
@OSOK7
@OSOK7 2 жыл бұрын
@@68Whiskey The first Coyote you shoot at three times is wounded and runs off to die elsewhere .... The second Coyote you have to shoot twice .... One was side on and so close and he still ran . I guess it's down to the meaning of 'wounds' I saw nothing on this video that was 'awesome' . Shoot them in the right place and they'll drop where they stood and you won't need to video blood trails ! The combination of a slow looping 6.5 round at 300 to 500 yards with a front mounted thermal is not the best setup IMHO I went from a 220 swift because i wanted a flatter round to a 6mm WSM shooting 55g bullets at 4,530 ft / sec .... This gives me a 2.5 inch drop at 300 yards compared to my swift's 5.5 inch drop . Go lighter and faster and you'll shoot them rather than shoot at them . I still love your Air rifle vid's and I've learnt from them keep them coming !

If you cant make a one shot ethical kill, keep the bullet in the barrel! Talk about crap shooting! I guess the gut shot is to slow them down?
