I think in the study community everyone’s got used to like 15 hour study with me’s (it’s fine if that works for them but that would fry my brain completely) but it’s so refreshing to see this (with breaks too)! eve you're so hardworking, i envy your motivation! i'm very jealous that you do work best in intense chunks. i am also an A2 but i tend to find i work best in 30 minute - 45 minute slots and they tend to add up, but ive never done more than 4.5 hours in a day, yet got AAA in my mocks..horses for courses! loving your content at the minute. hope you're doing well, you deserve the best in your upcoming a levels (as hopefully do I!). also i LOVE when you talk about gatsby..the novel is also one of my texts for english combined :)

I have the same problem with remembering the quotes, so I found a way to remember them. I just write a list of everything I want to remember and then take the first letter / first few letters of each bullet point and use those to make up a new word and if it's a long list, even form a sentence out of those made-up words. Hope this helps, this technique has served me well up until my master's degree :)

I did A Level English Lit last year and had the same problem with quotes for a while. I found that creating a super condensed list of the most vital quotes for each text and then writing them all out from memory without a prompt helped. I also did a lot of quick essay plans and wrote out all the quotes I'd need if I wrote the essay on each one, this really helped with thinking of the correct quote for the specific point I was making off the top of my head.

tips for anyone who needs to remember quotes - a bit late now but if youre in year 10 u can use this for next year - make acronyms so take the first letter from every first word of every quote and make a new sentence from each word and then associate it with the theme and or character and write it out in ur free time, because of this for my gcse i was able to remember all quotes + probably 7ish more for every questions resulting in me using about 12 quotes for a single questions :) hope this helps guys

THE ENGLISH LIT OCR EXAM!! My lord does it drive me up the wall!! The unseen passage should have more contextual knowledge to it, in my opinion, urghhh OCR. As well as the fact that OCR set a million books to study. Also saw your tweet about The Grapes of Wrath and I have to compare it to Gatsby. Hey Eve, I love your video. I just want to say that you need to be careful talking about "the Catalonia crisis", because there is no crisis. I live in Barcelona and how we live it from here, there is a massive missunderstanding between the two parts (catalonia and Spain) in terms of goverment, tax, ivestment and other fields, in which catalonia wants to look more for itself and evolve, and Spain wants to keep things as they are. Apart from that, i love your videos and they motivate me to study so much!

Ok Ok firstly make sure you come out of each lesson getting everything and if not go back to the teacher I can’t stress how important this is. I have a memory stick with my lessons on where I have taken notes and seperated it into topics which will help by the time I get to year 11 I don’t think there’s any need for intense revision at this point just little things preparing yourself like make revision cards for quotes or key words, make mindmaps like obviously don’t go overboard just make sure you have revision material for when the time comes so you don’t waste time in year 11 but I believe year 10 is mostly about understanding so make sure you are 100% on each and every topic so you can revise in depth everything you already know and as for me I find helpful websites and KZbin videos which also benefit to build my understanding of a topic I hope this has helped if you have any more questions feel free to ask x

Make revision material whilst u learn it, such as mind maps or revision cards, so when you're in year 11 u have less to do. Make sure as you learn new things u understand it now instead of trying to understand it next year! Good luck in all of your exams
