I so appreciate how you care for the lives of the critters! We have taken over their spaces, leaving them with little alternative to try and live as best they can...

I was waiting to see part 2. Mamma was probably born in an attic and so it seems perfectly natural for her to have her little ones in an attic. But they do a lot of damage chewing stuff up and peeing and pooping so I understand the need to evict them. You did a really good job at being humane to allow the mamma back in to care for the third baby that got back into the attic. In the end all worked out. Great job.

So cute and such a good Momma. It is a shame that so much of their natural habitat is destroyed, which means they seek refuge in peoples homes.

I just watched Part 1 and Part 2, back-to-back. This was a very exciting movie. Sell it to Hollywood for the Mission Impossible franchise. When Mom brought her babies back to the house, I thought that she is very clever. She moves like a ninja. It was double work and exercise for the raccoons and the Gates team. I hope Mom and her babies find a nice safe home where they do not have to be rescued again. Are there, parks in the area where they can set up their new home? I am guessing that there is no forest nearby with all the town development.

They are absolutely so cute, I watched the first part, but where did she take her other babies, there was 3 altogether right
@gateswildlife3 ай бұрын
All three babies were removed and reunited with their mother in this video! Originally in Part 1, she would have taken her other two babies to an alternate den site. Once she got back into this attic she went to get them and bring them back in (as seen in the Reolink footage at the start of this video)!

With it being daylight, leaving mom with the babies out by the shed like that, what if some kids or other family’s tumbled upon them, couldn’t they get hurt with mom trying to protect the babies until she could relocate? Thanks for sharing and possibly answering this question I don’t think I have seen it where we know the raccoon and babies are in a spot where people could come in contact with them

Hi 👋

Now she's got no where to go with three babies. Wonderful. You couldn't leave a baby box for her just until they get more mobile?? She's gonna try to get back in there just cuz she's got nowhere else to go. I feel for her ❤ 😢
@minniemouse17532 ай бұрын
Leaving a baby box would attract predators, she'll find a second den site she just like that one better because it's more comfortable, but leaving them in the attic can result im serious damage chewd wires, holes in wall, urine and feces are dangerous to humans, and if they stayed longer they saturate the ceiling and it can collapse,resulting in thousands of damage

Great job, unfortunately in Canda to adopt raccoons it's ilegal, by other way It would be a easiest
@Alsatiagent-zu1rx3 ай бұрын
Racoons belong in the wild even though they sometimes use human shelters and eat human food scraps.They just don't make good pets. I'd stick with dogs and cats from the Humane Society
@brandonmendez14053 ай бұрын
@@Alsatiagent-zu1rx yes, it's your personal opinion, but yes there are ways of to adopt raccoons, by the right way
@Alsatiagent-zu1rx3 ай бұрын
@@brandonmendez1405 I was thinking more of the laws of Ontario than my opinion. Orphaned racoons should be brought to the Humane Society or an animal shelter. If you like wildlife you don't take it out of the wild just because you want a cool looking pet.
@JaneofArc2 ай бұрын
Have you guys seen that lady in Poulsbo, Washington, who has been feeding raccoons for almost 4 decades and is now overrun with at least 100 on her property? The police bodycam footage is insane. She wants to euthanize them. :(
@minniemouse17532 ай бұрын
that's why people should not feed wildlife unless they're professional, they don't know what they're doing all of those raccoons are relying on her for a food source, and in many cases If they don't have the food they can become extremely aggressive
@JaneofArc2 ай бұрын
@@minniemouse1753Agreed! That's exactly what happened. She can't even get to her car without having to throw dog food, and it seems she's conditioned them to be awake during the day. She said they go to their dens to sleep at night.

I've been watching this channel for several years and I've often wondered since you operate in a large metropolitan area, how often after evicting one family of raccoons from one address, you all get called to evict the same family from another location close to the first?
