I like the move. Not a soccer manager move, just keeping Messi happy

If Inter Miami is putting all their faith in a rookie coach then lets see how it turns out

So, do you think Tata Martino was fired even though that's not what's purported?

I really wanted Xavi🤷🏾♂️

I've heard Xavi's relationship with some of the Barca boys has soured, with especially Alba, and he had no interest walking into that at Inter Miami. There is a manager from Portugal, Sergio Conceicao, that seemed like would be a good experienced pick. I don't know if he speaks English or Spanish, but seems like he would at least know Spanish.

Good hire. Inter needs to address the back line big time.

This seems like a surprisingly bad hire to me. I mean I have never watched Argentinian youth teams play, but this guy has no club management experience, and only youth international experience. Weird to hire a coach with a learning curve when you’ve got a roster of old dudes on a short window. And maybe he’s great one day who knows, he just doesn’t seem to fit that Miami team’s timeline. They’ve been so willing to throw out blank checks to grab players I figured they’d be ready to spend whatever in order to go after an established proven guy to take advantage of this tiny window they’ve got.

It’s very disappointing tbh

Agree. His experience with the youth squad has been pretty terrible too. Seems like many are glad he's leaving. Being friends with Messi should not be the only criteria to qualify.
@codycomer46232 күн бұрын
@@WookieG yeah I mean, maybe like the video talks about there’s some merit to him having recruiting ties to Argentinian guys, but man that’s not at all the qualification I was expecting from their hire.

@@codycomer4623 Yup. I'm actually blown away they think this is a good idea. This is a super challenging job with so much at stake.

I predict a stinker season a a major falling out between Messi n co and the Team , this manager is simple a front man for Messi to take control of the dressing room with his Ego . Pardon my English I am from Argentina 🙏

If they win it will only be because of the Barca boys magic I hope they bring more talent but for now the odds are against Miami I bet they get eliminated from almost everything

If Poch never coached international ball, this guy has never club ball. Totally different skills and he has no past background with MLS or Americans at all. It's a big gamble for Messi and it better payoff.

They are betting big on this hire

Hmmm, underwhelming hire, with unproven coaching experience. Hopefully he can scout the great U22 gems.

Very disappointing hire. What exactly has he done to qualify as a coach performance-wise? His time with the youth squad was a big failure.

He’s friends with players on the team

@@MLSMoves Yeah, which should not be enough for such a high-profile, challenging job. Actually surprised the Mas owners agreed to this. I get the Big Four need to be comfortable with the coach but there's got to be better options. I think this will end very badly.
