Matching the needle is like matching the heading bug with the tip of needle?

I hope you're still reading comments from older videos! I understood this explanation well. It makes sense. My first reaction, however, was whether this method can be applied to flying a DME arc? I know you have a video on flying DME arcs, and I've watched it (but my old fart brain doesn't remember it all), but what would you say? DME arcs seem old-fashioned and needlessly complex with simple equipment. There must be something that automates them, right?

I came across this elsewhere when i was looking up on vor interceptions. What if I am on the 150 radial inbound (course 330) and atc issues me a revision to track inbound on 090 radial? I set this up on an vor simulation and interception happened on the far side ie. On the 270 radial. Is that right?
@mattgarrett53994 жыл бұрын
No, ATC wants you on the 090º radial. Once intercepted you'll have a 270º track to the station. ;)

I do not get it. On HSI you have selected radial 320, but on the map the red line represent radial about 160...why is that?
@GianLucaNoia7 жыл бұрын
320 to = 140 from. i did not select the 320 Radial. I selected the 320 Bearing to the station. Use our +/- 2 trick for the reciprocal 320 -2 120 +2 140 refer to our other video for the answer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2O9e4N6bbFkeM0

the 0 is not perfectly aligned, this is why it looks like 160
