Interception is a balanced ability

Become a parry god, except even when you fail the parry, you still parry.
And magic is even more broken than this.

OK so how exactly does interception work?

It gives you a buff where if you get hit while it's up, Jack auto-parries the attack instead, but the buff ends. However, with a second ability node you also parry whenever you use a soul shield, but parrying with soul shield doesn't end the buff. End end result is that you can go absolutely butt wild with soul shield parries and even if you fail, the auto-parry still saves you and you can just rebuff with the buttload of mp you got from using soul shield.

Chaos game is actually really fun. Hard mode is well balanced this time around (I heard it was kinda BS in the original demo), the soul shield mechanic is awesome and there's like 87 thousand different mechanics to play around with. There's some balance issues, the party members are a nuisance and I'm not the biggest fan of the second boss, but it's turning out to be a really solid game.

I enjoyed the 2nd beta much more than the 1st one but dear lord is it unpolished technically.. Really hope it will be brushed up closer to release cause I'm actually looking forward to it. With that being said *turns on Limp Bizkit on full volume and walks away*

Heh, imagine balance in a Nioh game. Though honestly there is a good chance this gets completely nerfed into the ground in the full release or in a patch after launch. But there will just be like 10 other things that are completely broken instead.

It's like if you always did Royal Release, but it didn't require any meter and your DT filled automatically, and if you missed the timing you still succeeded. It's honestly fun to use tho. The fun type of broken.

Hey asetoni, hope all is well for ya my man. Say. I had a quick question if you don't mind thinking back to ff15. Was wondering if getting the vortex weapons are worth it if I have almost literally all other weapons. I didn't want to grind for them if I ultimately wasn't going to need them

Well, the sword and gun are by far the best ones in their respective weapon classes and the daggers rival Zwill Crossblades. Even the Vortex greatsword only loses to Hyperion because of lower link strike damage. So they are unquestionably very powerful. That said, I don't think they're necessary per se. If anything, I find them to be too strong for the game and they kinda ruin a lot of endgame weapon balance. They were the last piece of content released to the game, so no piece of content was actually designed around you having access to them. Then again, in case you didn't know, it actually doesn't take very long at all to get them. If you use the trading system, you only need 120 tomestones total (buying them outright for 99 each is a massive scam) and there's 90 around the camp that can be picked up for free (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kISlgJ6KnZZrhrM) so you only need to grind for 30 of them (or none at all of you only get 3 weapons). The vortex feathers take only like 2 minutes get with this strat kzbin.info/www/bejne/emjLkKiKiLqGa6M That just leaves adamantite and if you already have Zwill Crossblades, you can kill adamantoise in like 5 minutes, or just use Alterna. The grind isn't all that long at all.
