Intercontinental West Lake Hanoi Vietnam

Join me today we I give you a tour of the Intercontinental West Lake Hanoi Vietnam. This beautiful hotel sits on West Lake. It has a great view over the lake to the sunset. We booked a city view room but received an upgrade due to my Platinum Elite IHG status. We also had access to the Club Intercontinental Executive Lounge. We had a great time.

We did 4 nights, to get the 4th night free with points. It was I think 18k or 19k points per night.

Beautiful place! Just curious as to why there is flickering on some parts of these videos?

@@travelasiawithallie I looked into it. I think it is because the AC electrical system is at 50Hz (cycles per second) whereas in the U.S. it is 60hz. On AC power, the lights actually turn on and off each cycle. Most human eyes can’t detect it. (Some can especially in fluorescent lighting) I think if you adjust the refresh or frame rate on your camera to something lower than 50fps it will eliminate that. I just bought a go pro12 for our trip to Europe and I think that would be an issue there as well. Absolutely love your content. We have been inspired by you guys to take the Zephyr in May and I took your class and started a YT channel. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

What month were you in this Hotel? We are looking to travel to Thailand and Vietnam this winter, but we are trying to figure out the smokey season. There's a lot of conflicting information out there? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We were there a few weeks ago. They told us summer was the best, but also the warmest.
