So I had rib pain and sometimes lower back pain the last for days. Sometimes weeks and comes and goes. I went to several Doctors and for xrays and mri and I have a scoliosis case. And discloid lupus, not systemic. IM dealing with depression. And nothing showed through the blood. Both Doctors suggest physical therapy for core strengthening, rest and to manage stress. Any suggestions. I'm in Queens NYC. And. I HAVE AETNA MEDICARE NYC TRANSIT INSURANCE.

I just wanted to share something that made my intercostal neuralgia completely go away . I had had a nerve injury in my side that would not go away . The pain was like a red hot icepick and would occur at night . It was getting to the point that I dreaded going to bed . I started a keto diet and it it was gone ...... This was after a year of suffering . ...... I wanted to pass this along in case it might help someone else .....

Thank you!!! Im struggling to get this under control after pain clinics have been unable to relieve it. I spent 4 months in near bedrest awaiting kidney stones removal, yeah insurance complications and everyone is understaffed. Thought i could jump right back into normalcy but got major wake up. Stress soft muscle injury and T12 disk herniation with radiculopathy around right side. If i had SLOWLY gotten back into my old routines i wouldn't have injured myself simply making specialized cupcakes that actually took over 4 hours. Moral of my story... wishing i would've exercises and made baby steps back into my daily life. Thank you for this very informative video!! I have some pain on my left and right ribs (more on left) for a lil over a month now. Its been getting better and better after doing some stretches. Havent gone to the Dr. yet. Since this happened a day after I picked up a heavy ac unit and carried it up some steps bear hug style. So I figured I must have pinched a nerve because I would feel prickly sensations on my ribs and back but thats gone now.

i am 16 years old and i thought that i was suffering from a heart problem because my chest was hurting, it felt like it was hurting at the same time my heart was pumping, so i went to a cardiologist. they didnt really know what was wrong, and they found out that i had a irregular heart beat. It wasnt really serious and they sent me off. It kept hurting and seemed to be getting more noticable. When i told my dad more symptoms and where it was hurting, he insisted that it could be a broken nerve. I stumbled apon intercostal neuralgia and it was all the things i was feeling and in the same places. im still not sure if its this but i wouldnt know what else it could be, i know no one with this type of pain or feeling that i have. I am going to try to do exercises like these to see if i feel pain or if it gets better, at this point i dont know what to do.

I got same thing, just at bottom of right rib, and sometimes at left rib. When i take deep breath i feel like tingling, while at normal breathing i dont feel anything, or when resting, when i wake up in morning i feel completely ok. Also, after exercise i feel less symptoms. Some days is worse, some days is ok, thing is that i exercise with weights so probably that triggered it, also i sit several hours at work, and few hours at home at PC, probably that affected it, first occured under right rib, so i thought it was related to excess sitting at PC because i use right hand for mouse

Do you know much about intercostal neuralgia caused by a high incomplete spinal cord injury. I had an mva 6 years ago and have this since. It’s totally changed my life but Chiro’s and Physio’s and all doctors infact scratch their heads as to how to treat me other than nerve blocks,ablation, Botox that don’t work! What would your suggestion be as im disabled as a result of this neuralgia mainly! I also had slipped rib syndrome 9th had broken away from costal cartilage and was slipping under 10th , stabilised with Hansen technique… when I lean forward apart from my whole spine burning I hear and feel a clunk in mid thoracic.. I’m aware of rib head syndrome also where head of rib subluxation can happen from spine.. but apparently no treatment! Thanks, tuning in from Australia What should I tell my chiropractor to manipulate 🙏

I was wondering, in case I have the Intercostal Neuralgia, can I preform the following exercises : Deadlift & Squats? Or should I stop doing them? I'm regularly working out for more than 5 years already and was doing those exercises for a long period of time. Thanks!
@drdozellodc2 жыл бұрын
Never perform an exercise that elicits or intensifies symptoms. If an exercise elicits or intensifies symptoms, find a viable substitute. Always work through a symptom free range of motion. For example, if barbell back squats elicit or intensify symptoms, try another form of squats or leg press.
