I hope you all plan on releasing a book with all these animation tips. Not even The Animator’s Survival Kit addresses some of these things.

@@alfredocassano3194 I find this more than interesting, I also made my share of animation tutorial videos, too, though I mostly have animation book reviews.

Im an industry professional 18 years, (rigging and animation), this is an awesome tip. Its a fault ive seen in a lot of professionals and something ive been guilty of myself countless times. Deadlines are a killer!

Really good advice for still drawing as well! Also, the Wrong example figure that just turned its head 180° like an owl made me laugh.

Very interesting Alfredo, thank you for the interdependence tip. I think for rotation of the body in Z axis is clear but not so much when he lift the arm or leg, I will have to do some research.

Thanks for the lesson! I also applied this knowledge to facial animation, for example, the movement of the mouth affected the shape of the eyes, eyebrows, and cheeks. And also, when my character waved his hand, he also moved his body and head. But one day, I broke this rule to create a more comical effect. the arms were moving, and the rest of the character was motionless. I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but the result really turned out to be more fun, and it fit the context well
@alfredocassano319410 ай бұрын
Absolutely! As long as the effect is wanted, then you are doing the right thing. It is also important to check if the audience is getting the same gag. If so, that's 100% success :)

Thanks for everything! I was wondering if you all are "paper free" ? I was playing with spa blender and trying to figure if we can import and register-align animation paper?

Thank you! Regarding your quesiton, I don't know of any function of that sort in Blender to be honest. But maybe as we type, someone is already coming up with an add-on, who knows :D

Qué me aconsejas?

Thank you, Alfredo. I am learning much by watching your tutorials. I downloaded Spa's version (and installed both addons) and have the main branch open as well for comparison. I have two questions so far. Stabilize stroke does not seem to work in Spa's version. Checking the option under Advanced has no effect and holding shift has no effect. Am I missing something? Also, what does the Pegboard option do in this? I saw the "transform Pegs" under "Shift and Trace".
@alfredocassano319410 ай бұрын
Yes you are right about the stabilizer. The drawing engine has been completely rewritten for this version for better accuracy in "normal" settings, and the stabilizer was part of the plan. Unfortunately it hasn't been implemented in this version so it's not available. About the pegs, if you refer to the pegbars, here is an explanation of how to use them (kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWe1pKiZqdqLqpI). They have been programmed to resemble the same funcionality as on Harmony.
