Fun fact: Humpback whales will actively protect other animals from orcas, including humans. There's a video of a humpback letting a seal lie on it's chest, which the whale kept pushed above water to keep the seal from the orcas
@icarusbinns31562 жыл бұрын
And the humpback that protected a researcher from a tiger shark. The whale kept tucking her under one of his pectoral fins (she had an air tank), keeping her hidden from the shark. At one point, the whale lifted her out of the water, which she wisely took as a signal to get back on her boat!

The surgery/therapy one? I cannot stress enough how important it is to follow all the way through with your PT. I know, it’s a hassle, you feel fine, it should just keep getting better on its own, blah. whatever, but it can many many times make the difference between full function (or as close as you can get depending on what happened), and partial. I’m not a PT, no ad here. But I have seen what happens when when you stop. It never comes back. I went through my whole treatment, many times grudgingly, but you would never know how wrecked my shoulder was, now. They even had doubts I would get back 80%. All good!

Some dogs get chronic infections if the ears don't get clipped. I used to be against it too. I regretted not doing it. An ear infection might not sound bad but lots of them or one that won't go away can turn into big issues. I don't agree with it for solely cosmetic reasons but if it is a medical benefit then that's different imo

Looks like a wolf dog hybrid. They can get quite big and are an absolutely horrific idea. We domesticated dogs long ago, wolves are not f-ing pets. They cross breed them in the dumb hope that the dog bit will calm the wolf, but retain the extra power and size. This should be illegal and if a wolfdog bites his owner, good . @@michaelgarrison688 Thank you for this response. The fact that you took the time to type out a reply to my simple, foolish number truly highlights my folly. Your words of wisdom were only two in number but the impact they had was great. Not only did you succeed in suggesting I increase my age, a trivial demand given the functions of time, but you also took into account the continuum in which we live in by demanding it regardless, setting in a harsh demonstrative regard for the reality we are subject to the whims of. This jarring realization that we cannot simply choose to age hints at the inevitable doom we all spiral towards and rattles me to my core. This response truly made me see how foolish and blind I was to waste my time counting when none of it matters. Instead I should dedicate my life to greater things. It prompted me to stop all drugs and alcohol and begin working out. The inspiration did not stop there. It prompted me to work for greater, more purposeful things. I got a job.
