Clear Vice Dragon has a effect that when it attacks its ATK is becomes double the opponents ATK during the damage step I know if you use a Hon est like effect it will recalulate the ATK The Wicked Avatar has a effect that its ATK is 100+ the highest ATK on the field if CVD attacked TWD both would gain ATK in the damage step so who wins or is it a infinite loop
@raidraptor-satellitecannon30083 жыл бұрын
Im not really sure but I think it might resolve as follows: CVD atk would be 0 while TWA would be 0+100. CVD declares an attack on TWA, making its atk go to 200, chains Honest to give CVD +100 atk making it 300 atk. After the chain ends, TWA will recalculate its atk, making it 400. I don't think CVD can activate its effect again since (as far as I know) effects that activate during the damage step can only be activated once in that damage step. TLDR: CVD ends with 300 atk and loses to a TWA with 400 atk.

You have dupe frog on field and a set call of the haunted. Opponent declares an attack on the dupe frog, you chain call of the haunted and special summon another monster. What happens? And also if you control one monster and special summon a dupe frog on declaration of an opponents attack are they forced to attack dupe frog.
@Psynapseful3 жыл бұрын
The attacker gets to do a replay whenever the number of monsters changes during battle step. The chain started by Call of the Haunted resolves, then they can redeclare the attack or cancel the attack. If they choose to attack, they will only be able Dupe Frog. If no other effects are triggered by the attack on Dupe Frog, you should be able to get the search.
@Lorens44442 жыл бұрын
As far as I'm aware Replay Rule checks if the ammount of legal targets for the attack changed before the Damage Step. If you'll activate Call of the Haunted on the attack declaration and SS a monster other then Dupe Frog the ammount of legal attack targets didn't change and the opponent would still attack Dupe Frog. However, if your Call of the Haunted SS another Dupe Frog the ammount of legal attack targets change and your opponent wouldn't be able to continue the attack. Unless his monster has the effect to attack directly, in which case a Replay occurs, allowing the opponent to change it's attack to the direct attack.

For the Talent Vs. Unicorn problem, there's actually exception on who gets to activate effect If the effect that forms chain that will take control of monster that satisfy the trigger effect before it can be activate,: The effect that listed "if this card is summoned.....", then the player who satisfy the condition can activate it. The effect that listed "if your opponent ....", then it will check its condition from the perspective of the player who gain the control, neither player can activate its effect if it didn't satisfy it. The the effect doesn't specific list "If this card..." or "if you opponent....", then the player who gain control of it can activate effect. So in the case of Talent Vs. Unicorn, because Unicorn says "If this card is link summoned". The player that link summoned Unicorn can activate its effect . At least this is how OCG rule it

If you attack there are phases. 1.Enter battle phase(last oppurtunity to activate cards before attack) 2.Attack declare(youve declared a target to attack whether a monster or a in this case directly) And 3.Damage step Cards that could possibly change the outcome of the damage taken or gained can be activated within both phases. If you try to negate a monater effect in damage step it will still resolve with a direct attack. If you negate a monster effect in the atrack declaring it will not attack directly. This can be proben in tested on duel links easily with masked hero anki and forbidden chalice. He attacks directly for his entire attack inatead of half even with a monater on board as long as its damage step.

On my opponent's turn they have an Infinite Impermanence set while I have Ultimaya Tzolkin and Cystron Halqifibrax. They special summon a monster which allows me to trigger Lost Wind in my GY and set it. That triggers my Tzolkin but they chain Imperm in response and I chain Halq to Synchro Summon which means Tzolkin cannot be targeted. Are they allowed to negate my Tzolkin?
@MRICARD0M3 жыл бұрын
Tzolkin is negated because Impermanence target when is activated, so when resolve the chains your tzolkin is already targeted when the synchro summon happens. In replace of Halqui, if you activated something else that sends your tzolkin to another place like GY, banished or to your hand (extra deck), in that case the tzolkin resolves without being negated, the monster must be in the field when resolving the chains to be negated by Imperm properly.
@7gdnz3 жыл бұрын
If you chained to lost wind with Halq, then they’d have no way to negate ultimaya because there’s a synchro on the field before lost is set
@Balila_balbal_loki3 жыл бұрын
Tzolkin gains targetting protection not protection against negation so imperm would still resolve and he won't summon a synchro from extradeck. The problem here is chain order, for imperm to activate you have a pre-requisite to be met which is a viable monster to be targeted on the field this targetting happens during the chain activation and chaining to previous effects and not chain resolution. it is like paying cost by discarding you have to discard for cost of twin twisters and you have to target a monster for imperm just because tolzkin can no longer be targetted doesn't mean you haven't already targetted him successfully when you activated imperm since that targetting already occured then imperm is free to resolve successfully.
@Dw7freak3 жыл бұрын
Targetting is part of activating the card, so unless you make Tzolkin immune to card/trap effects, the Imperm will resolve fully, negating Tzolkin.

You are allowed to activate Formud's effect, and you will still be able to summon only light for gozen and cyberse for rivalry respectively. To be clear with Chalice, though, this doesn't stop you from activiating Chalice on your own monsters. @coreylipford3633 жыл бұрын
The aforementioned ZW monsters are not actually activated effects when they attempt to negate something. Pegasus can simply apply it’s effect to negate a monster effect that activated on your opponents field which doesn’t start a chain. The same rule applies to eagle claw when it comes to negating a trap card or effect. It doesn’t start a chain. It simply applies it’s effect to negate a trap without actually activating. Which also means that it can negate cards like solemn judgment

Yes. Your monster was a light machine when it was summoned, and was a light machine up to where union hanger activated and targeted your monster. Union hanger doesn’t require for the target monster to remain a machine at the resolution, only at activation and up to the point where it meets its activation condition of targeting a summoned light machine

The target's stats no longer meet targeting viability because you can only target a light machine that was just summoned from a previous chain resolution since you no longer control a light machine you cannot resolve hanger. Both listed cards tribute as cost; they can always activate if the field is full. If you have Lair of Darkness but a full field, you cannot tribute your opponent's monster, since you would have nowhere to summon another monster. Related: As a rule of thumb, if the removal of a card is part of the effect that summons or places another card on the field, provided that it doesn't happen before the removal you can still activate it. Artifact Ignition with 5 cards (including itself) is in your S/T is an example. And Interrupted Kaiju Slumber is too (note that IKS is also extra, since it does not consider the effects of the Kaiju when determining whether or not you can activate it, so this applies both to full field and fields containing Kaiju; but it does consider Summoning Conditions, such as with Super Anti-Kaiju War Machine Mecha-Dogoran.)

A player uses Exchange to take a DARK Fiend type monster from the opponent, they then Summon that monster with the effect of Relay Soul and use Shien's Spy to pass that monster to the opponent. That player then attacks said DARK Fiend monster with Exodia, the Legendary Defender and destroys it. Does the player win the Duel because of Exodia's effect or do they lose it because of Relay Soul, or do we have some awkward instance of forcing a draw?
@analoghabits92173 жыл бұрын
Since etld is ruled to not apply it's victory condition if it does not survive the battle, i postulate that, in the 'end of damage step' step, not just activated effects but all references to that substep happen after destroyed monsters are sent on to their destination at the start of that substep. It seems to me that since relay soul's victory condition is tied to the monster's removal & has no tie to the damage step, relay soul would give victory to the opponent of the relay soul activator, at a timing ruled too early for etld to apply. Even though the exchanged/relayed/spied/destrpyed monster returns to it's owner's possession on removal, relay soul only gives victory to the opponent of its activator.

Hey coder, I have a couple of questions: If the opponent activate shifter and I chain lancea, where does others cards go after the chain resolves? If I control toadally awesome, and I have one random set and a waking the dragon; the opponent activate MST target the set and I negate with toad. Then I activate his own MST targeting my waking the dragon. Does It count like an opponent's card? Thank you
@Uchiha_Sasuke2093 жыл бұрын
1. Lancea wins due to konami said so and during the turn lancea is applied no cards can be banished. However when lancea wears off and shifter is still active every card sent to the GY will be banished instead. 2. Eventhough the MST technically is your opponents card. You are the one activating its effect thus it is treated as your effect and not your opponents

1: the graveyard because cards cannot be banished, so shifter can’t banish them. 2: no, that is still your effect.

If I control Abominable Unchained Soul that was Special Summoned from the GY by its own effect and a G.B. Hunter, where will Unchained Soul go if I use both to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix?

G.B. Hunter's eff no longer applies when you use it AND Soul to link summon. This is similar to using Disaster targeting banisher of radiance; They both go to grave instead of being banished. So in this case Soul would end up back in the Deck

Regarding the ruling in the previous video, where you won't miss timing from negated activation of the next chain; can you miss timing if the effect, not the activation, is negated instead?
@dannylongfellow3 жыл бұрын
The reason why Dupe Frog did not miss timing in the previous video with Majestic Star Dragon is because when a card's activation is negated, it is treated as never having been activated in the chain. Conversely, when a card's effect is negated, such as with Apollousa, when it gets to the card's specific chain link, it resolves without effect, but is still treated as having been activated in chain. If you have an effect negation that also destroys, such as Starry Knight Blast, then it will cause monsters like Dupe Frog to miss their timing.

@babrad3 жыл бұрын
These effects start applying as soon as the monster hits the field. Since they don't need to continuously apply said effect (like Jinzo), you cant negate them with Veiler because they already happened the moment that their SUMMON was SUCCESSFUL. That's why handtraps were useless versus Outer Entity Azathot. But if Skill Drain is faceup on the field, these effects wont apply successfully because immediately after hitting the field, they are already negated by a continuous effect.

Purely out of curiosity since Heavy Storm is banned, but could you explain why Starlight Road behaves differently in those two scenarios? Scenario A: I summon Black Rose Dragon and activate its effect to destroy all cards on the field, including itself. I have two cards on the field that would be destroyed by the effect (BRD and Starlight Road) so I am allowed to chain SR and bring out a Stardust Dragon. Scenario B: I activate Heavy Storm. I also have two cards that would be destroyed by the effect (Heavy and SR), as both are spells/traps, yet I am not allowed to chain SR. Heavy is on the field, you can MST it if you want. As far as I know, spell/traps remain on the field until they have fully resolved (which is why you get to keep a card against Evenly Matched), at which point Heavy Storm would've already destroyed the back row - including itself. So why can't you chain SR to Heavy but can with BRD, when both basically do the same thing (destroy SR and themselves) ?
@ConductorElcrest3 жыл бұрын
Heavy isn't technically "destroyed" by its own effect because in the case of Black Rose you already have two spell/traps. Therefore two cards will be destroyed and Starlight Road can negate. With heavy storm it cannot destroy itself. It can only destroy the set starlight road. For example you couldn't use MST and target itself. Therefore heavystorm wouldn't destroy itself.
@firatd.monkey73303 жыл бұрын
Who told you that you aren't allowed? lol In your scenario Heavy Storm would destroy 2 cards you control (SR and HS) what meets the activation condition of SR. In this case you are legally allowed to chain SR as CL2 on your opponent's HS or even Lightning Storm. It will negate the effect (if nothing else happened in this chain link) and destroy the card and then you can summon a SD.
@ConductorElcrest3 жыл бұрын
@@firatd.monkey7330 That is factually incorrect because you misread the situation. They are talking about their heavy storm being activated to destroy itself and starlight road.

Any chance you can do some rulings for the new cyber strike structure deck? Like when exactly does cyberdark chimera’s effect to use material from the graveyard for fusion materials work/does it work if the card leaves the field. Also can you explain how attack declarations work with cyberdark end dragon, if it has no equip cards can it still attack once per turn? If so then when it has 1 equip card does it get a normal attack plus an additional attack for the equip card? Is the additional normal summon of cyberdark realm applied anytime during the turn, or does it have to be immediately after the first effect to search the cyberdark monster has resolved? As well as the interaction with cyber eternal not being able to special summon cards pitched from the effect of cyberdark horizon since the card hasn’t been properly summoned.
@topsycho44513 жыл бұрын
Chimera applies a lingering effect for your turn. You can choose when to apply it while Fusion Summoning, and Chimera does not have to stay on field. That effect of Cyberdark End is like Ultimate Conductor Tyranno. You can choose to apply that effect instead of your "normal" attacks, so yes, Cyberdark End Dragon can attack (once) while it is not equipped. If it later becomes equipped, it does not gain additional attacks. Cyberdark Realm finishes resolving by performing a Normal Summon. If you activate that effect, you must Normal Summon when it resolves. Monster Cards with summoning conditions (Synchro, Fusion, something like Cyber Eltanin, etc) can never be summoned from a location that they didn't start in, unless they were properly summoned first. (This is not including other limitations on their summons). Cyber Eternal cannot summon a Cyberdark or Chimeratech Fusion monster that was sent directly from the Extra Deck to the GY. The "Ignoring Summoning Conditions" part just means it can ignore the part of Cyberdark Dragon saying that it can only be summoned via Fusion Summon.

@@topsycho4451 with cyber dark realm there is a full stop after the search effect, which means that it is its own separate effect.
