There's no way I'm buying a game from naughty dog after last of us 2 The writing only focused on surface level shock value and had no immersion with character development or world building. For example, I believe good writing will get a person to a place where they feel like crying, and the fact that I didn't get near that place when Joel died surprised me. I was so invested in that character from the first game. Even a mediocre writer could have made that a much more emotional experience. Then I was forced to play as an unlikable antagonist, which was not an enjoyable experience at all. I just kept letting the zombies kill me cause I didnt care if she lived or died, and after a few hours I realized it wasn't going to return to Ellie and I was going to be stuck playing her for a while, so I just quit playing. And I always finish a game when I start it, so that was a first. Further showing me how much I really don't like this game. And, after watching the ending on Utube, I'm so glad I quite when I did. It was such a waste of money, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the worse game I've ever played. There's no way I will buy a game from them again.

@@joaomari761 It's so funny when I get this idiotic comment and shows peoples main character syndrome. I didn't play this game four years ago. I was living in a village with no electricity in India for a couple years then in Thailand where I was a teacher and I helped build schools and homes. I was never on social media and had no idea about the controversy surrounding this game. I just played lou 1 and 2 a year ago, and I played part 2 directly after part 1, so I was extremely surprised how the story to such an incredibly horrible turn. After that, I will not buy another game from this company and it's hateful cultlike followers

I think its a huge accomplishment on the dev's side. On a more metalinguistic interpretation, the loss of Joel both from Ellie and from the player turns them into hateful people who can't never truly move on. That's why 4 years later, in every corner of the internet we can find people complaining about that death. I find so amusing posts like yours, you guys felt the death of Joel like he was a real person. Naughty dog has trapped you all in this cycle, and the answer is in the game: just move on. And i think that's amazing, when the message and the media become one thing.
