They worked directly with NaturalMotion with Euphoria to make IV. GTA V was not, this is the biggest factor. GTA V uses a modified version ripped from Max Payne 3 and they made their own ragdoll system that is loosely based on the Euphoria engine. They can somewhat replicate it with what they have, but without the developers of that engine, we will never get the same effect. Modders have managed to somehow get IV's Euphoria into RDR2. There are also mods for GTA V, you can get IV handling, or better, a hybrid between them.

Another fact that would be great is the AI Emergency Services working. For example in GTA IV, cops arrest npcs instead of killing them like in V. Paramedics actually save people and transport them to hospital also. This would be amazing to see in Vice City while driving around or doing missions.

He's simply mentioning that GTA V downgraded or removed some things in IV for some reason, but I don't think it's to "add" more graphics, they can only be improved. But nevertheless, it's the same as GTA IV limiting the weapons and customization. That does not change the fact GTA IV still has offered many features and details that are miles better than what we got in V. Hate me for it, but GTA IV and V are both great games, and that's why it's so fun to compare each other considering they are still Rockstar's earliest GTA Games despite being 16 years from now. I'm aware people are sick of seeing GTA IV getting praised and V being compared to it all the time recently. I'm just happy IV is getting more attention and some love these days. However, I still think GTA V doesn't necessarily deserve to be hated every time it's being compared to IV. Both games did something better and did something less better. GTA IV simply had a lot more stuff in it that it did best and things that I would consider superior and an improvement to GTA V. If you're annoyed at people sharing the same opinion over and over again, then hate the fans if you want, but not the game. GTA IV is great, and so is GTA V. But I've also been getting sick of seeing people not being able to handle opinions, like I admit GTA IV is better than GTA V. As much as that statement is already overused at this point, it still remains an opinion nonetheless. No one's stopping anyone from saying GTA V is better than GTA IV in many ways as well. This is the part where people get to mention what V has done better than IV as well, my opinion will still remain, but I will very much respect and agree with you. GTA IV fans are simply so much more passionate about this game, which could explain their behavior I guess, and still remains disappointed with GTA V for a lot things which I can't really blame them for. But it would be messed up to use GTA V's flaws as simply a reason to hate the game more. Sorry if this is too long to read, it's just nice to express some thoughts all at once.

Rdr2 is a goated game when it comes to detail, and work put in making the world feel alive….being able to enter as many buildings as possible etc. GTA 6 must become the best game ever.

Another little quirk i loved in gta4 was that if you simply tapped the exit vehicle button it would leave your car running and if you wanted it to shut off you would hold the button. Very useful if you need to get in your car and drive away quickly. The only time in gta5 that that happened for me was when it glitched. I want that feature to return

The limited weapon actually comes from RDR2 where you could carry only few weapons by foot, but could carry them all by horse. It would make sense to have the same mechanic in GTA 6 if you replace the horse by a car, or bag to carry along.

I PVP a lot in GTA Online, and having a full load out weapon wheel is so important and saved my ass so many times and makes PvP and free mode wars way more fun. If someone is attacking from the air, I pull out a homing launcher and boom. Someone tries to crash into me, I use sticky bomb and ewo, someone want to spam rockets? No problem I’ll do too. Point blank? Assault shotgun. Long range fighter? Heavy sniper + marksman. Run and Gun? Special Carbine. 3 v 1? Combat MG. In certain missions, you should be able to customize loadouts that’s fair or use whatever loadout they give you, that’s fair. But in free mode, people should use whatever they want. All is fair game. Free mode should always be open season.

You’ll get jumped by 3-5 people, you’ll have people trying to run you over with a car, spam rockets at you with oppressor mk2 or even rpg, snipe you from a distance, or spam explosives or even use tanks and jets. Having a full load out helps you gain a fighting edge against those kinds of encounters and also helps you think on the spot. Versatility is important. Also how would it take gunfights interesting? If you’re carrying an Assault rifle and a shotgun, but your opponent has a sniper and and AR? You’re just gonna get sniped and spawn trapped every minute. You’re basically helpless. There’s no fun in that. And people will just use the same two best weapons and loadout so it makes every other weapon obsolete

GTA IV is a classic, I'd even call it a masterpiece of a game. Very detailed and impressive for 2008, I remember it feeling like it was the future of gaming, even though it was missing some key customization options that made other GTAs so fun. A darker tone, for sure, but the humor was in my opinion the best of the series. So many funny one liners and little jokes scattered throughout. I agree, GTA 4 was too hyper realistic where every car felt like a boat and handles like a brick. GTA 5, every car felt the same and it was too easy and forgiving. Here are my ideas for perfect physics: -add manual and/or automatic transmission option -swerving hard at high speeds will cause high center of gravity cars like trucks and suvs to roll over or be on two wheels -cars with street tires and low suspension should struggle off road and lose traction on muddy surfaces -off road tires and suspension should make off-roading fun - water droplets should appear on windshield and wipers should remove them and if you follow too closely during heavy rain, your windshield should fog up - add inertia camera effects in first and third person where if you step on the gas and it’s modded, your body pushes you to to your seat and when you brake hard, your body forward and your FOV changes dynamically based on torque of the car. Inspired by asetto corsa neck physics. -you can actually see from the side of your mirrors and rear view. You can also adjust the seating position, FOV and mirrors in settings. -FWD RWD and AWD all behave differently on different terrain, rather than every car feel the same. FWD understeers when cornering and RWD oversteers when cornering with too much speed. - crash physics should be forgiving so players can continue driving. No need for beam ng crash physics, it will cause frustration. -no gas stations to refill or speeding tickets or get pulled over by police. Cool first few times but it will get extremely annoying for long term gameplay.

I would really like for DLCs to be in GTA 6, after it comes out like it did with IV, but I really want GTA 6 to have a mix of GTA IV and San Andreas stuff (the ragdoll physics and multiple cities, towns and suburban areas to explore), not just one city but many more. I strongly agree with everything. Two points though. One: I haven't played GTA IV for too long (since March), but I've never seen snipers on buildings during higher Wanted Levels. I'll certainly check it. Two: About the Weapon Inventory System in GTA VI - a combo of both the older systems and GTA V one would be appreciated, meaning that I'll be okay with having only one weapon of a certain type as long as we don't lose the others. For example, you know how we have a lot of different weapons of the same type in GTA V, right? Let's use rifles for example. If I have to choose only one of amidst Assault Rifle, Carbine Rifle, Special Carbine Rifle, Advanced Rifle, or whatever, I'm fine with it as far as I'm being able to keep the rest in a gun locker or something in a safehouse and/or being able to stash them in the car that I'm using. In short, as long as we don't lose the other weapons of the same type while being able to carry only one, I'm fine with the limitation. I think it's the fairest approach to this specific matter.

I think a lot of people are focusing on the wrong things. What I think is most important is the gameplay, offline specifically. In gta 4 you could spend hours playing in offline mode and having fun because there were so many things to do (including just screwing around with the physics). However in gta 5, after I beat the storyline, I got bored of the game within a week. Yes there were things to do, but it paled greatly in comparison.

Ik this may sound crazy but rockstar tried telling us that there would be limitations in what you carry, especially a weapon like rifles and rpg’s couldn’t be carried in your 3dimensional pouch similar to gta 5. You might put it in your car trunk, and cops reacting the same way as the cops from mafia games do and they might wanna check the trunk of your car and something. Also to be noted when I said rockstar tried telling us this is in the end of trailer they don’t have any thing huge with them but just normal handguns, while they rob the store (also we don’t need anything big for a store but still) Also would like to add that this game might carry a lot of gore scenes even more worse than rdr2, the reaction to death and pain could be one of the things too, like bleeding from the mouth when shot in the abdomen and shit they already told us that bulletin holes are gonna be much more realistic. The thing with gta v is it's being so bright city and look wise great whereas gta iv has a dark environment making it feal more depressing but the things in gta iv are great the physics and all

As for the Clucking Bell, it seems to me that Rockstar abandoned this by replacing it with a more advanced tuning, for example. But personally, I think we need to draw inspiration from GTA 4 and 5, as well as RDR 2.

GTA 4 was peak! GTA 5 core engine had to run on outdated hardware back in 2013. It wasn't even possible to "enjoy" 30fps at 720p on ps3 and xbox 360. The game was NOT re-done for the xbox one and PS4 release so as for the PC and current gen console ports. They were just slightly pumped up each time with better textures and more graphic settings just turned on. So I really hope they get their shit straight and pull out all the tricks to put GTA 6 to their best product. They knew how until they shut down the support for RDR 2 Online and just shat out "content" for GTA online. So maybe, just maybe we will get scammed with a online only hybrid multiplayer-story shitshow with buyable shark cards, flying rocketbikes, fartnite dance emotes and a monthly subscription fee.

Started playing GTA5 for the first time a few days ago (it's a long story why I took so long), but I have to say I'm liking what I've played so far. I hammered GTA4 back in the day, so the feel of the world and the gameplay in general is a pleasant surprise after hearing how GTA4 was better than 5.

Gta 5 is more focosed on graphics then details, even thought gta 4 to be a game from the 2008 it was ahead of his time ,5 is more graphis then details I just hope gta 6 got the graphisc and details like red dead redemption 2!

Something that I would love to see added to the game would be in game websites that we purchase our vehicles weapons etc from refresh ever so many hours we would have a more variety of vehicle's weapons etc and players will look forward to see what's being added next time the website refreshes

The problem is that everything needs to be perfect for them, we have the same problem in Sims 3 to Sims 4. The older sims 3 has more stuff in the game, more details and much more overall love in the game then sims 4. It’s really sad and I hope that rockstar looks back to gta 4 too.

Based on some incomplete info we can see in the leaked gameplay, it looks like at one point the developers tried to have the same weapon carrying as in Max Payne 3. So either a pistol in either hand, or one long weapon like a shotgun. I kinda hope that is what they end up using, maybe you could have holsters so you can carry more weapons? EDIT: I feel like Vigilante missions are almost certainly, there will probably already be a bunch of work we will do for the cops. It's probably why they let Lucia leave prison with the ankle monitor.
