Idk why people aren't voting for Seo Young eun, Kim Bora, and Kang Yeseo. They all deserve to be ranked in the top 9 and deserve to debut. Bora is an amazing vocalist and has exceptional leading skills. Yeseo is so talented for her young age and has amazing charisma on stage. and YOUNG EUN DAMN she knows her stuff when it comes to singing, rapping and dancing. Like the person above me said, it's because there are so many to choose from. In k-group we have; Yujin, dayeon, Chaehyun, Yeseo, Bora, Etc. So it gets very divided and each of them is fairly popular. As to where for c-group, it's pretty much just Shen Xiao Ting and Rui Qi that people choose from, making them have way more votes than others, same for j-group, it's Yurina, Mashiro, Hikaru for the main part, so they get more votes than others. K-group has so much talent and it makes it so difficult for certain girls in k-group to get a lot of votes. Sure dayeon is Top2, but Yujin and Chaehyun are towards the back end of top9, which in just shows how much competition is in k-group. It's not people neglecting or not wanting to chose Bora, Yeseo or Youngeun. People might really wanna vote for them but there are so many other good ones

Yujin has decent and stable vocal skills but is not enough to be the main vocalist. She doesn't have the technique, range and skills like Bo Ra vocally talking. Chaehyun has a pretty voice and a good range and skills (like pretty falsettos) but she doesn't have the same stability and range like Bo Ra but yes both of them (Yujin and Chaehyun) are good vocals but not enough to be main vocalist like Reina, Hyerim, Bo Ra...

I wouldn't necessarily say popularity is entirely related to ovations/reactions. Girls in general get the loudest ovations when they rise surprisingly UP! Likewise, when a girl goes surprisingly DOWN (Yujin, Yeseo), very few clapped - not being they're disliked, but because everyone is shocked. They tend to clap a bit later because they don't want to make the mistake Starship's Ahn Yujin made (she looked disappointed being 4th once because she dropped, so in the next voting, she fell out of the top 9) in Produce 48.

Makes sense... There is a huge divide between the votes given to the Korean candidates. Most of these voters give their support to the same Chinese and Japanese candidates. There is 1 clear favorite (which she deserves, based on her performances) for the C candidates with Rui Qi and Yaning lagging further behind, 3 for the J candidates, and 5-6 for the K candidates which makes them have fewer votes.

Though I agree Bora would be the absolute perfect main vocal for the debut group, if she doesn't make it the group isn't neccesarily without a main vocal. Shana, Chaehyun and even Su Ruiqi could be main vocal if needed. (Su Ruiqi is focused on dance and rap, but if you look up videos from her in previous survival shows you'll see she's actually a really good vocalist too). Not to mention we also have all rounders like Seo Youngeun, Hikaru and Suyeon

This is what bugs me about Bora fans. I love the girl, she brought the best in her groupmates and it's so adorable when she wakes up super early lol. But, people have to stop saying she's the only main vocal. She does have extraordinary skills, but if sadly she doesn't make it to the final lineup, there will be many strong vocals who can help the group: We have Shana, Chaehyun, and the tops of each group. So yeah, please stop saying Bora is the only option for main vocal.

But there is some distinct talents or skills that clearly separate the lead vocal and the main vocal. The other names you mentioned are, in my opinion, lead vocal materials. But Bora is different. She is too special to be replaced by the other members. That’s what I’d like to say.

I don't think Shana will make it. She doesn't have Mnet's visuals (albeit Yuri made it into IZone so there's still hope) and something's just a bit off with her vocals (slightly flat or sharp; albeit her vocals are powerful), that it's hard to mesh her voice into the group (which is why she got constantly outvoted in her subgroup in ep 9 for parts). Also there's already 3 Japanese ahead of her and I doubt 4 will make it. Yaning is a multi-faceted talent, but fits better into a girl crush theme (except that Mnet usually goes cutesy with the final group). There's a small chance she might sneak it, if by surprise, Yujin don't make it (Yujin doesn't want to do girl crush after CLC; she said she never got to show her other side while in CLC). But a longshot.

Okay so I have a feeling mnet will pull something like adding a 10th member in,, like the planet pass kinda. The ones who most likely will make it into top 9 K: dayeon, yujin J: yurina, mashiro, hikaru C: xiaoting, ruiqi I think dayeons rank could possibly go down a bit since alot of people were mad she got favorited so much by mnet but I don't think it'll make her fall out of top 9. Chaehyun has a veryy high chance as well considering she never left top 9 so far even with the 1 per category voting. She's so much like (g)Idle's Soyeon. Became an instant superstar after her initial audition performance, and then Mnet gave her little face time afterwards (because she didn't fit their 'visuals' for the final group). Thus, she fell just out of the final team. But due to her multi talents, she became a superstar in her own group later on.

So, I just wanted to leave my Top 7 (my other 2 was eliminated and no one else rly caught my eye) and my reasons for them (+ possible positions I think they deserve in the debut team), feel free to disagree as everyone have their own opinions and I know many of the girls deserve to debut too! 1)Su Rui Qi Ok this girl has been my No.1 since the start and I’ve never stopped voting for her while my vote for others might have changed. First of all, she’s insanely talented. From ‘Snapping’ , we can all see that her vocals are next level and her dancing is no joke as well (as can be seen from ‘The Eve’ and ‘Fate’ too). Aside from that, she is incredibly stable when singing and dancing. Pair all these with her killer facial expressions and stage presence, I have a hard time believing she isn’t ranked higher... Bonus: She can rap too, and by that I mean she’s Main / Lead Rapper material (She hasn’t really shown this in Girls Planet, maybe because she isn’t comfortable rapping in a foreign language, but you guys can check out her performances in ‘Produce Camp 2020’ for her rapping and singing in Chinese!) Secondly, as mentioned by the other girls before and what we see ourselves, she really does have a charming personality that makes it hard to dislike her. (I know some people may see her as overly competitive but honestly who isn’t? They have to be competitive in this cruel show where only 9 out of 99 of them will make it. She has been through 2 such shows so she knows the only way to survive is to fight for every opportunity there is.) She’s confident yet not arrogant. She has the ability to keep moving forward, always working harder than before for the next opportunity. She has a burning passion for the stage that never seems to die. I can honestly see her as the Cool Older Sister who is an All Rounder in the Debut Team, guiding the members whenever they need help. *I think I would literally cry if she doesn’t get to debut this time Possible Positions in Debut Team: Main Vocal, Lead Dancer *She’s Main / Lead Rapper material too as I mentioned but as I haven’t really seen her rap in Korea so far, I’m not sure if she’s suitable to be in the Rap Line in the Debut Team 2)Kang Ye Seo Another one that has never made me dropped my voting for her... She really caught my attention in ‘Crazy’ with those dance moves of hers (enough to get her into the dance line) and her clean & stable voice, plus her facial expressions. Adding on how she handled her mic situation, she really does feel ready to debut. I also personally feel that she gives off this unexplainable positive & bright energy, which is what I believe the Debut Team needs in a Maknae. On top of that, from her ‘Crazy’ team, you can see her ability to lead at such a young age, so she definitely would not have a problem taking care of herself (or maybe even others) as a Maknae. Plus...she’s also visual material, like just look at her. Possible Positions in Debut Team: Center, Visual, Maknae, Lead Dancer, Vocalist 3)Shen Xiao Ting I don’t think there’s much to explain seeing how she’s managed to keep C1 since the start but if I was to comment on something, it would be her dance skills. Her dance is just so clean & attractive, watching her cams is always satisfying - she’s definitely Main Dancer material. Additionally, from her ‘Rumor’ performance, she can definitely be in the rap line as well. She would be a great addition to the Debut Team as a Leader - she has such warm energy and the right leadership abilities. Possible Positions in Debut Team: Leader, Visual, Main Dancer, Lead Rapper 4)Kim Da Yeon To be honest, she’s actually one of my later picks after ‘Ice Cream’ , and I’m sure everyone knows why. First, let’s talk about her dancing - we have another Main Dancer right here. She has incredible moves plus her choreographing ideas are amazing, the Debut Team definitely needs a Dancer like her. On top of that, her rapping skills are insane. Take a look at her ‘Pop Star’ performance and we have our Main Rapper too. Bonus: I also feel that her vocals are underrated as she can be really stable (as seen from her O.O.O grading) and also has a really nice voice (my personal opinion) Now, let’s talk about how amazing she is as a person. The way she has lead ‘Ice Cream’ and ‘Snake’ is insane given how young she is and how some of the girls are actually older than her (which must have been stressful for her). She listens to everyone’s opinions and is always so encouraging. She knows how to get things done efficiently and plans for the best for the team. The only reason why I don’t think she should be the leader in the Debut Team is because I feel someone older and more experienced like Xiaoting would be more suitable (and less stressful for Dayeon). However, I can see her as someone who all members would go to when they need someone to talk to. Possible Positions in Debut Team: Main Dancer, Main Rapper 5)Wen Zhe Serious Question: Do people actually sleep on her vocals? If yes, you’re missing out. Also, her dancing skills are pretty solid so I don’t get why she’s so underrated. It’s so satisfying seeing her improve with each performance - I feel that she’s someone who will be good at anything with enough practice. Putting her skills aside, the Debut Team also needs a Comedy Queen like her. With her around, I’m sure that the team will always be in laughter. Yet, she also knows when to be serious and is not afraid to speak up - she gives me the ‘cool aunt’ vibes. (She would definitely be a great help to the leader if members ever need to be kept in check) Possible Positions in Debut Team: Lead Vocal 6)Kawaguchi Yurina She reminds me so much of Izone’s Sakura as she has a similar Natural Star Quality. She may not be the best in singing / dancing / rapping but her presence on stage can be felt. She doesn’t stand out the way Ruiqi/ Xiaoting/ Hikaru does but has a sort of effortless charm. (There’s a reason why she’s the unexpected No.1) I can imagine her as the “back center” (if y’all get what I mean) in the debut team. That being said, her vocals are still good enough to get her into the Vocal Line and, she can dance too. I also personally feel that she gives off this mom vibe so I believe the Debut Team would need her. Unlike a Leader who would guide the members, I feel that Yurina would just ask simple questions like “Have you eaten?” or “Did you get enough sleep?”. I honestly don’t know why, it’s just the vibe I get from her. Possible Positions in Debut Team: FOTG, Lead Vocal 7)Sakamoto Mashiro This is my unpopular opinion but I feel her ‘Dumdi Dumdi’ performance is still her best in Girls Planet 999. It truly showcase how incredibly stable she is in singing while giving us those insane dance moves. Plus, she just feels so chill and is Leader candidate as well. (Can imagine her working together with the leader if she’s not the leader) I think she would be the approachable one that members go to when they need help with dance moves privately. is it just me or does anyone think that a lot of the girls are getting jealous of xiaoting and c group in general? some of the other girls seem like they feel threatened by them and i noticed not that many people rushed to congratulate xiaoting the same way they did with dayeon
