Pure emotion on both of your faces when talking about Juno and what the addition has done for your family. So great to see. As a parent, I love it.
@meganault2000Ай бұрын
I am honestly so impressed that you were able to accomplish this in only 4.5 months! I purchased my first home in February 2021, and it still isn't close to done and liveable. It took us 16 months to install a kitchen sink. That's 16 months of bathtub dishes. Seriously, be proud of how fast you were able to accomplish this renovation for your family!

Being able to pay contractors helps a lot :D

2021 and 2022 were horrible getting the supplies and labor needed. We had our kitchen torn out because of a mold issue and it took them 4 months to fix everything. I was told normally it should only take 3 weeks tops.

Tip for the instant pot. Store lid upsidedown without seal (put seal in the pot) and it will get rid of any smells that might linger. Then it will fit a little easier in that awesome storage compartment.

Love your home,love your family!! It’s beautiful but I agree with Heidi, the most beautiful part is the family that lives there. May God continue to bless you, your marriage, home and the work of your hands. Well done! 💕👏👏👏

I absolutely loved in your last video when Taylor said the reno tested your marriage and Heidi said you got through it because your relationship was healthy. My question is, how did you get through those tests healthfully? I love you videos because it's so refreshing to see a healthy couple and a healthy family that loves each other.

What Heidi said about Juno is sooo true. I told my husband just yesterday that, no matter what we do or achieve, my kids will always matter more. They are not how I measure sucess, but success can never bring me the happiness they do.

After renovating our first 4 homes (all moved to different cities for work) we decided to buy an acreage and build… and then we didn’t quite get the house right (and unexpectedly had baby #5) so we bought another acreage and built dream house 2.0. Definitely nailed it the second time. It always drove me nuts doing renos because it never quite goes to plan and I’d be at the building store 4x a day! Building from scratch is so much easier! Great to see your marriage survived this project and you’ve got a beautiful space for your family.

One of the biggest tests of a marriage is home improvement. We’ve been through two bathrooms, a kitchen, I don’t know how many flooring and painting jobs. My favorite story is when our daughter was probably 5 and we were hanging a light fixture. I was holding it up in the most awkward position and my husband was trying to get the toggle bolts in. Our daughter yelled “momma” from across the hall and we both yelled “shut up!”. Best. Parenting. Ever. 🤣

Incredible and Well Done! That bench serves so many different purposes and is Brilliant in my opinion!! The windows in the living room, the fireplace, the shades and the coziness of the room are incredible and I love the wood accents on the wall and the color is Perfect ❤ The kitchen countertops are Beautiful and I love the color... Great video, Taylor! I love them like always. Also here’s my question for the Q&A video: why did you guys choose Colorado over any other state? Follow up question was this Colorado split level house a joint decision because when you guys get old, don’t you think the stairs will become difficult? Sorry, those are two questions and technically not one! Great video I have watched your channel since 2015 so almost 10 years now and followed along this entire renovation series from when you bought this house! Cheers 🥂 Caleb

You'd benefit from (two) shallow drawers for the mugs inside your hidden pantry - that way you'd get better overview and accessibility. The only thing is you need other door hinges then, otherwise drawers won't come out. Or... just add extra wall(s) the the specific shelf.

I'd love to hear the pre-construction phase of the process -- how'd you come up with the inspiration for the designs and then the actual planning/design process? We're facing a similar situation of outgrowing our current space with our family--not sure there's much that can be done in our situation (we're in a duplex for starters, so it's not just our walls we'd be worrying about!), but I honestly don't even know where we'd begin.
