Hi Debbie! Your outfit is darling! I love it! I enjoyed the tour of your home. You always do such a great job. It’s stunning. I love everything. I especially love how much thought you put in to each and every detail when you built your home. Beautiful! Speaking of home, we didn’t go to Dollywood. We decided to stay closer to home. We went to the shore today to see the Barnegat lighthouse (my dad’s favorite spot). It was being renovated and closed last year so I was excited to see it newly painted. It’s a park with a trail, a small museum and a gift shop. They have benches and tables that you can sit on and watch the boats fishing in the bay. You can climb to the top and see a wonderful view. The houses are so beautiful. They rebuilt many of those when hurricane Sandy came through and destroyed them in 2012. 😞 I was admiring the different colors, architecture and styles. As a kid, I remember mostly Cape cod style homes or little bungalow style homes with rooftop decks. Now they’re huge and many are on pilings. They reminded me of your lovely home. We had lunch at a spot on the bay. It was funny how tiny the seagulls were. I imagine because no one feeds them. I had to look twice to see if they were those Sandpiper birds. I told my husband that they look nothing like those seagulls outside of our nearby fast food places that people give French fries to throughout the day. 🙃 ❤️

oh my goodness girl, I miss you. I bet you are busy with a baby now! We are having so much fun with our 7! My brother is coming in a week for a stay then we are back off to Florida again to celebrate our 45th! We invited all of the kids but the boys ended up not being able to make it but Clarissa's family is going and for a gift she purchased a photo shoot for us on the beach! Love you so much. I am going to come visit, Bruce will still be working with the kids this year so he won't join me unless we do it over a weekend. Let me know good dates.😍

I think if you can make it 10 days you are well on your way. I was excellent until I got off on a vacation and it is always difficult to get back on track but when the symptoms of things you no longer had come back, it does wake you up about what you are cheating on. I wish you both the best and it is always better when both are on...we didn't do that the first time. My husband ate low carb and what ever he wanted when we entertained so it was difficult for me.

My whites are all Chantilly Lace (SW), the upstairs master suite is Reflection (SW) The family room, entry is Fortitude (SW) The dome of the rotunda is Sunset (SW). I can't recall the coral but I listed it in the video of the rec room. My outdoor ceilings are Spirit by a menards brand paint. Any others I did not show in this video. Hope that helps!

Your home is absolutely stunning. We are in the early stages of a new custom build in the NC OBX area (so yeah, a coastal home). I sleep, eat and breathe designing and picking out furniture, fixtures, paint colors etc. I’m trying really hard to make all the right decisions and not get into the home and wished I had done this or that differently, this has been the thing I stress about the most. I want a timeless coastal home that will age gracefully with us through the years. Any tips on trends when it comes to a custom build? 🫶🏻

oh my is that a HUGE question! and believe me I get it. I had begun on pinterest and houzz collecting photos of rooms that I loved, then moved to some of the details. I also poured over home plans for more hours than I could ever say...just as you wrote, breathing, sleep and eat it and I loved that but as the hone build began I really felt pressured because they needed everything suddenly and that didn't mean an idea, they needed order numbers. I think as far as timeless coastal you simply need to focus (interior wise) on your windows, trims, stones, floors and cabinetry. Light fixtures can easily be replaced, paint can change but find that window style and trim that speaks to your heart. We walked in and saw our window and door trim and said stop the presses! It was not substantial, so we had to change it. Do stay on top of things daily if you can because some of the mistakes made can be easily corrected early while later it may be impossible. Best wishes and I dont know what QBX means but how wonderful to be living on the coast!!!!
